Thinking of visiting Shilton next month then using a 'free' rewards ticket to return to London between Darlington & KGX. Journey planner gives an itinerary with 7 minutes to change at Darlington, should I be delayed and miss my connection would I have any problem in catching a later train...
I had a email offering the bonus Nectar points when I followed the link and tried to book a ticket it would only let me opt to have the tickets posted, this was confirmed by FGW ? Customer service?
Never having redeemed any of points yet, overall I have enough for a second class return trip. Some of my points are due to expire within the next 14 days. I really want to travel at the beginning of September i.e. more than 12 weeks time which currently shows no availability.

I agree it's unfair and I freely confess to having no expertise in this area other than being a fairly frequent Oyster user. Had the OP not been stopped the journey would have easily been resolved by a phone call to the Oyster helpline. I would think the resolution of CCTV is never going to show...
Tickets can be collected from any machine not just the one you specified when you ordered online, just get you partner to use your card with the booking reference and then post tickets Special Delivery to you or your daughter.
Yesterday mid morning, I travelled on a very lightly loaded first class train between Kings Cross and York and was very surprised by the attitude of the catering staff when a passenger joining at Peterborough was told that we won't be coming round with any sandwiches until after Newark, given...
