During a weekday next week my companion and I need to travel into and around central London (zones 1-2) after 1000 (YP railcard) and return during the evening peak.

The cheapest way for me to do this I think involves a ticket to Clapham Junction. I was then going to use Oyster (including touching in at CLJ).

However I know evening peak fares from tube stations to CLJ are rather pricey. Can someone tell me if mixed mode journey along this route would be included in my off-off peak fare cap? I find caps and peak times on oyster confusing and don't want to get this bit wrong.

This should also give me an opportunity to test for myself if Guildford station staff are refusing to sell tickets from other stations.

Thanks

Assuming you have a PAYG Adult Oyster if your railcard is paired to the card, your daily capping rate will be lower.
