Can anybody give more details of the problems between York and kings cross

Safety checks of the line have been made between York and Doncaster, however further disruption is being caused because of a broken down train. Because of this, there are delays of up to 60 minutes between York / Selby and Doncaster. These delays will continue until further notice.

I think you mean the 1725 - this is showing as 40/80 minutes late.

That one is 68 minutes, although it has been stuck at Temple Hurst Junction between York and Doncaster for a while.

Now expected at Stevenage 2240.

I nearly travelled back to London this evening but I'm glad I decided not to! I would be due in at 20:20 but not expected until 22:41!

I hope those affected got home as early as possible.

It's starting to make up time, not that it matters much in the grand scheme of things.

Made up 2 minutes since the call at Newark North Gate. Now only 99 down, from 101.

Expected at Stevenage at 2253 if our OP is still paying attention.

Indeed! Wasn't a good day again yesterday, a few failures both infrastructure and train faults 1E21 sitting really messed up the end of service, and Donny to York got hammered with the earlier track fault as well. Just another day of the ECML at the moment.

Ye, E21 failed but then moved forward under own power before deciding it had had enough, after that the t/bird was brought onto the train and away southwards!
