SWR cracking down on Vauxhall - Waterloo doughnuts/short fares - Also GTR

Almost ... Network railcards aren't accepted between Peterborough and Huntingdon. On the main point, I've always felt that the current railcard prices should really be the normal price.

Cycles at Stations: Red Rear Light Safety Risk?

Since I was made aware of this by station staff I now always turn off my bike lights on entering a station ... it also helps stop my batteries going flat!

Did the email advise that your originally booked ticket was cancelled?

    TFL overcharge

Where I've had unexplained charges on my contactless card I've done a chargeback via my credit card provider. I used the TFL website statement as the evidence that the retailer can't explain the charges or offer a refund.

    Error 57 at St Pancras

If you're buying a Cambridge to London Blackfriars ticket, my understanding is that these are issued to London Thameslink, which BRFares defines as: Flow Origin 7022 CAMBRIDGE Flow Destination 4452 LONDON THAMESLNK Fares Group 0577 FARRINGDON 1555 LONDON ST...

Paper Travelcard for Lizzie Line to Heathrow

Related to this, would an Anytime Day Single paper ticket to Zone 6 (ZONE U1256 LONDN) be valid to Heathrow Elizabeth Line? This is £6.70 from e.g. Wapping.

    TFL FARE EVASION AND PROSECUTION

You'll see from various posts on this forum that TFL are more likely to seek prosecutions than other operators. I guess this is because of the size of their network and needing to have strong deterrents for fare evasion. Given your partner pleaded guilty I don't think there's much you can do...

    Expired Rail Card GTR

Maybe cover the action you've already taken by saying ... "The ticket inspector brought this to my attention during my journey into London, I take full responsibility for my oversight and immediately bought a new railcard in-front of the inspector". Personally I think this whole matter is...

Tapped out using contactless instead of rail ticket

As it's contactless you might have to deal with it online at https://contactless.tfl.gov.uk/ As said above, you could complete the journey or perhaps request a refund, possibly by showing them the ticket that was already valid for your journey.

Advice needed on fixed penalty notice & potential prosecution

Although you travelled on 19th Jan, could the £100 actually be a penalty fare (at the post 23rd Jan rate, which is £100 but reduced to £50 if paid within 21 days)? The pre-23rd Jan penalty fare was £20. Regardless, if I was in your situation, to save any hassle, time and stress, I'd pay £100...

Fare evasion - Thameslink / Southeastern

The lack of an eticket entry scan could also raise questions ... although does Farringdon actually have barcode readers? All of this is no consolation to the OP, who was caught and then through their own admissions (likely under caution) unwittingly escalated the case against them. I hope the...

Fare evasion - Thameslink / Southeastern

Where and what were the circumstances of you being stopped... e.g. did you buy a Farringdon to City Thameslink eticket and the barcode failed to open the barriers at City Thameslink?

Avanti Delay Replay - Disrupted Travel Day - Refusal to Pay

Here's the scenario: 30th December, travelled Carlisle to Euston on an Advance Single. Originally booked to travel departing at 16:48, arriving at 20:13. However, due to landslides / flooding, Avanti permitted travel on any service that day. Instead travelled at 14:49, which was due to arrive...
