I've got a conductors assessment coming up soon, i'm guessing i'll be taking the scaat over gbt, however i don't really understand the scoring on the tests from the download, if someone could explain what is good pass/how many lines I should be able to complete with no errors in the 2mins. Any...
Is the pass threshold lower for the conductors than for drivers and signalers? I'm guessing it is... based on the more customer facing aspect of the conductors role, plus they tend to use shapes/letters instead of the dots.
Anyone familiar with this group activity? I remember years a go I did a lost at sea exercise for a CSA role i went for with CrossCountry. I've got a group activity coming up for job I've applied for with Virgin and rumor is that its going to be the sinking ship exercise where you have to save 6...
Anyone know what the assessment centre is like for these roles? I have a feeling it's not as universal as the Train Driver or signaler assessment centre and that each TOC tend to create their own unique version much like the assessments TOCs use for their CSA roles.

How I can prepare for Trainee Drivers SJT? I work in the rail industry and it's not always 'obvious' to know what the exact course of action to take for each of the scenarios given.
Good morning everybody

From what I've read there are different types of train planning both short and long...
You can buy onboard, however you would probably irritate the guard if 20 people turned up without a ticket! It is supposedly a reservation only train remember, and while they do wave this at times, the guard does have the right to refuse your travel. I would recommend you do what others have...
I've noticed today WCR has been making small incremental charges to my bank account twice this month. I have no idea what these charges are for!? But they sent me an online Christmas card and a 2016 brochure this month, perhaps for this?
They must have kept my details from a trip I booked in...
The 23.50 ran from Euston - Glasgow I heard the sleeper was replaced by a charter set due to the strike, a set of 8 Mark2 seated coaches was used instead. Anyone able to get some pics of these coaches?
If you're managing a level crossing which is next to a station, do you allow vehicles and pedestrians to cross while a train is standing at the platform or should the gate remain shut the entire time that train is in close proximity to the level crossing?
