No worries, maybe my expression isn't good.
My email is different. it invites me to attend the interview and asks me to bring along the right-to-work check documents.

Apologies, I got confused. Did my group assessment + interview for Conductor at Reading. Went to Swindon for another GWR role

Yeah I received an email - both parts on the same day: "we are delighted to invite you to the second part of the assessment. This will include both an individual and group exercise. Those applicants who pass these assessments will be invited to stay for a formal interview as the final part of the selection process."

O well not shortlisted for TM in Cardiff interview, I don’t think I will get a look in else where while still in Talent pool so back to waiting!
This happened to me after successful at Glos in holding pool. Applied for Westbury and didn’t get interview. Fingers crossed for you getting a date soon, they are definitely moving people through the system slowly but surely.

Hello,

Does anyone know how long the GWR talent pool is for Train Manager?
Wondered when Swansea depot was likely to be recruited for again. TIA
You can stay in the pool for three years I have just asked HR that very question and I have been in the talent pool 14 month and there was an
Application behind mine so I don’t think there will be another one for a while! But who knows

Hi, I just received an email saying I have successfully passed the interview, but they need to put me on the reserve list. Is there any difference between a reserve list and a talent pool?

Thank you, would you call that email a success?

Is there anyone here who survived the waiting game and finally got a job?

I just don't know what to expect...
I am on the Bristol temple meads conductor talent pool...

It's a massive depot with some turnover with people going to the TM and driver grades. Probably the best talent pool to be in.

Hi everyone,

Anyone here had the experience of having interview in Swindon ?
I am super nervous about it.
I just afraid it is a team exercise and I don't

That sounds like you're in the queue.
When was your interview?

The interview was great both managers are nice. Questions are literally competency question.

So anyone know what happened next if I fortunate enough?

Medical exam and job offer??

Interviews at Paddington are carried out after the group exercise. They let you know after about 30 minutes the outcome of the interview. If it's positive, they send an email a few days later.
If it's for a talent pool, you'll be placed on a reserve list. Whoever scores the highest at interview level will be offered the fist available position and so on.

Could indeed be the case for smaller depots. There may only be one position at the time which would go to the person with the highest score.
I knew someone from Salisbury, they got offered a position nearly 2 years after passing the ticket selling/checking tests (though covid may have been a factor).

That was really encouraging to hear that Bristol TM is such a massive depot! I heard they're looking to hire 20 conductors this time, which is great news!

Yes I asked if they would tell me my score or where in the pool I was then didn’t reply so could be at the bottom
And never get used boO hoo
I am so sorry to hear you are still in the pool...
I am just wondering is it possible for you to apply conductor instead of train manager??

Costs nothing to ask. Bear in mind though - there is over 7k difference in pay

Congratulations @edwin1812 that’s great news! Let us know how you go. There is currently a new guard course every two weeks so don’t be discouraged those of you waiting for a space at your depot.

Will they be able to offer a course unless a position is available?
