So it will still be in EMT blue? Or will it be vinyled into EMR aubergine for now?Yeah, it's been at Eastcroft for a few weeks. I went and had a look last weekend its just a shell but it's almost at the stage of carpets going in whilst cabs/toilets/vestibule and end saloon walls have all been painted but don't expect it to come out like 158847 - the paint job will be in the future.
I saw one EMR 158 car on the back of a lorry which was parked on the M1 junction 24 roundabout. I wonder if it was part of that unit? It was wearing fresh EMR colours.158866 now back at Etches Park but now stopped for C4 Exam
170501 to 170504 have been done. 505 is currently being done. Can Someone please give me a list of the current Class 170 Refurbishment Trains for EMR

Hadn't seen or heard that Siemens were building a new facility for this but planning documents would suggest a new 2 track, 4-car shed has been built to the immediate North of the existing shed, on the west side of the site. This is not yet visible on Google Earth, but the details are on West Northants planning portal reference 2024/2351/MAFBBC are reporting that Siemens have opened their facility at Kings Heath in Northampton
A purpose-built £6m centre where train modifications and upgrades will take place is a "step forward for the rail industry", a technology company has said. Siemens Mobility (SM) has opened the maintenance facility - creating 30 jobs - at its Kings Heath Depot in Northampton.
Currently on the way back170505 pretty much ready to leave Crewe Carriage Sidings now after it's refurbishment. I cleaned it yesterday afternoon.

Good point.Good news that 170505 is now back and 170506 has now gone for refurbishment but progress is still so slow. I remember travelling on the newly refurbished 170501 from Leicester to Nottingham at the end of May. Six months have now passed since then and only 4 more have been refurbished. Hopefully things will begin to speed up soon otherwise it’s going to take a good few years complete them all especially if the 3 car sets take even longer.
They're about the same.Good point.
How does this compare with the speed at which the XC 170s are being done I wonder?
