TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

67015 has a fault with the windscreen wipers so has been sidelined at ATC so that diagram has been lost, at least to start with.

With M4 daytime traffic, I would estimate 1 hour 5, but I haven't tested that.

The train through Cardiff is painfully slow.

Planned to replace 67013 on HD06 at Canton tomorrow before heading to Holyhead on w96.

An utter mess of a day with numerous swaps in and out today which has also meant HD07 is still at Crewe ETD as crews were used to prep others entering service, should now head back tomorrow and enter service on Friday replacing HD05 when it stops for exam (as long as that's even out after its cab heat issues)
Plan is HD02, HD04, HD05 and HD06 tomorrow, with the now regular subbing of the W11 diagram which seems likely to continue until mid-next week.

Its unfortunate that the 1630 Manchester-Swansea is now regularly a 197 after waiting so long for the morning service to switch to a MK4.

It is, the 0435 is extremely busy heading into Manchester too. It's definitely an unfortunate side effect having the busiest services running short formed so regularly. 3 car 197 availability is even worse than the Mk4s so hardly any of those to cover either leading to mostly 2 cars and the odd pair of 153s.

Indeed. I noticed a pair of 153s were allocated on the 0435/0830 this morning but a 197 was found for the 1630.

At the weekend can we expect all diagrams to be covered given there are 4 Saturday and 2 Sunday?

Yes that correct but it would still have been a unit even if it was running to Swansea is my point.

IIRC since the new timetable 1V50
Is yet to run to Swansea
On a Monday - Friday, & not planned next week.

Yes, and the Crewe start was cancelled both there and back with no spare unit at either Crewe or Canton, not even a 153.

No, there's still 5 required for the 4 Saturday diagrams as a set is in Holyhead

67017 connected to HD01 (B exam)

67016 connected to HD05 after its heater issue

67015 connected to HD02 arrived before I left.
