This Sunday has an engineering closure so only six 720s needed at the London end for a shuttle service to Cheshunt.

Monday 13th June 2021.
1. 2S36 1500 Stratford London to Bishops Stortford 317338 317504 on the off peak shuttles on the above mentioned route.
2. 2H41 1453 Cambridge North to London Liverpool Street and on all Day Cambridges was 317337 317340.
3. 2H43 1513 Cambridge North to London Liverpool Street and PM peak Broxbourne shuttles to London liverpool Street was 317506 317507.

1. 317339 317340 on Stansted airport services all day. However around 2125 at London Liverpool Street was replaced by 745101.
2. 317508 317507 also performed two am Trips Hertford East to London Liverpool Street but replaced by 720511.
3. 5G44 London liverpool Street to cambridge dep 1044 was 317504.
Meanwhile while.
4. 5H54 1915 317343 Cambridge sidings to ilford E.M.U.D via London liverpool Street.
Leaving 317502 at Cambridge possible it could be going to Ely this week.
Is this the final for the 317s
Or end of life days to go?

Meanwhile 317338 317343 returned this evening on to the Stansted Express services due to a shortage of 745 units again after many cancellations this morning.
Starting with the 1625 London liverpool Street to Stansted Airport following on with the 1839 London liverpool Street to Stansted Airport.
However 317338 338 317343 will end up at Orient way.
Due to the sticker on 317343 and 317343 still in service. Looking good for another substitute appearance.
Probably the last to run.
317507 317510 will end at Cambridge tonight. But we will soon find out by this Thursday if they are ely bound or survive.
However what ends up ely this Thursday is unknown?
However other side the x4 317s could stay a little longer. Last from a source I heard was mid July 2022. 745 issues.
However surely a few more 317 should have been kept Stansted Express alone short term. Possibly if all ely chaos could ensue and loads of cancelled services. But 317 live on. Fighting.

As above services from London liverpool Street to Stansted airport another pair of 317s are out again.
See Abeillo Anglia journey check and tiger website throughout the day for reqular updates to any substitutes taking place. However with another 745103 out of commission for repair.
I have been told by a few sources I know that 317s will continue on Stansted services most likely for a little while longer. Until 745 actually improves.
Or more 720s come on line but has to be x2 720 at least to go on the Stansted Express diagramm.
However x4 317 remain. Ie x 1 spare at Orient way for assistance. X1 Ilford E.M.U.D repair. 2 x 317 at Orient way.
Stansted Express ie standby duties.

Greater Anglia have published a press release saying that this Saturday (16th) will be the last day of diagrammed operations, with a double pair on Hertford East services:

Never say never. It's a shame there wasn't a last publicised run up the GEML in them at 100mph as nature intended but it's good they're getting a send-off unlike the legacy DMU fleet, the 90s and 360s. Though many were taken out of service during Covid restrictions which somewhat spoiled the leaving parties.
317337+317347+317502 did the 0743 Witham-LST on April 19th this year. 317337 did the Ilford-Witham test run yesterday with a 321 and also featured with 317341 on the last runs in and out of King's Cross on 30/4/17. The latter was very low key, only 10 cranks on board and no gen until the day before. I happened to be in the area at the time.

Greater Anglia appears to be making a concerted effort not to use the class 317s. Yesterday two of the five Stansted diagrams were single class 720s. I would not like to have been on the 1654 Liverpool Street to Stansted.

After the carnage that was the 317 farewell on Saturday, I wouldn’t be surprised!
meanwhile the contemporary diesel units, the 150s, will be soldiering on for a few more years yet.

Word is that the units were sufficiently damaged to make them unfit for use, even as a standby.
This has severely soured confidence for any future events.

Seatbacks taken amongst a bunch of other things.
Have to agree with what was said above - I highly doubt Greater Anglia will be doing anything similar for when the 321s leave.

Be a shame if they didn't do anything for the 321s, but you could certainly understand the reticence.
A lot more difficult to take apart the seats in a Renatus 321 than an Intercity 70 seat in first class on a 317 with a separate headrest.
That must have happened late on. They appeared to be fine at 1800. Presumably 317337 and 317338 have faults?
