People jumping on the cliché bandwagon of saying how much they dislike sprouts.

If you are going to name a vegetable you dislike, come up with something original. For me - aubergine.

Gherkins. They are the work of the devil.

Oh, and I like sprouts.

This is a bit niche, but that thing you get with Esso petrol station card machines before you can pay…

Parsnips. Absolutely dreadful and taste like perfume.

As for sprouts, can munch through platefuls !

I love roast parsnips! The highlight of visiting my grandma for Boxing Day was eating my way through an entire field's worth of them. Then I'd eat all the cranberry sauce from the jar and inevitably feel sick for the rest of the day.

Someone doesn't like parsnips? Isn't that akin to hating kittens or puppies?

I’ve got to say that I’ve always found them a bit overrated…

While on the subject of vegetables (and there’s very little that I don’t like actually). Broad beans.
Horrible!

I admit I'm lazy, but I draw the line at adopting a vegetable as a pet !

Yes, my nightmare carvery would consist of parsnips, broad beans, garden peas and (heaven forbid) sweetcorn.

Up the creek
Morrisons are offering individual ‘Carrots for Rudolph’. They may be free, in a paper bag and the wonky ones that people turn their noses up at, but this seems to me to reach new depths of marketing cynicism.

Now with sweetcorn you have a point, veg of Satan

I've never understood societies need to defile tuna mayonnaise with the stuff as though it were some sort of ancient ritual. And as for finding it on a pizza, don't get me started.

The only good thing about sweetcorn on pizza is that it isn't pineapple.

I quite like most of the veg that's been "banned", including sweetcorn...

However the "babycorn" that you often find in Chinese food and stir-fry packs? Utterly pointless stuff that takes up space that could have been used for something with flavour.

I've never known anyone who tasted perfume o_O
Other half can't stand them, I love them. It's the opposite way with swede though. We both have a dislike of turnips though.

Oops, should have read that more carefully, I thought that was a comment on parsnips.

However, certain activities might involve getting the taste of another's perfume. Fortuantely, not come across turnip fragrance yet. o_O

I would ban people who have a problem with pineapple on pizza
I remember I ordered one once and the person I was with didn’t just find it funny, but seemed actually offended!

I like it! I sometimes quite like the contrast of sweet and savoury in foods.

Pineapple on pizza reminds me of the Findus French Bread Ham and Pineapple frozen pizzas of my childhood.
