Why on earth are there running the extra X59 up to Glenrothes? seems like a waste, those Extra X59 would be better off going up To Cowdenbeath depot.

Has anyone else notice No mention of the X54.....

It seem the last No19 at night will be coming off.

hmmm just had a skip through there twitter - think the 747 needs something larger - X London bendies? Radicle for them I know but its a victim of its own success it would seam. x54 is slow enough without going through there too and will Rosyth traffic not be catered for by 19? ↲ x52 would make sense terminating at haymarket Id say and maybe 1 of the x59s should be decker subject to weather?

Didn't notice the draft timetable links. X52 does go into the Bus Station.

Only really the X27 to FVH during the day. Makes sense bus between St Andrews, Vic, QM (nearly) and FV Hospitals, like the X42 and 333 Hospital link or whatever they call it.

See they have also solved the Bawbee Bridge problem, sending everything via Diageo, presume Dysart, Boreland, Standin Stane Road?

Its been said 9 new B13 are coming, Plus there need an extra 6 coaches or buses for the extra work. im sure there are coaches sitting in reverse somewhere.

I never notice the X27 being changed, I did say that bridge might be a problem ;) I will say this, this change of route will pee off a few people.

Still got the 6, 44, 48 and 49. Only lost the fast Kirkcaldy bus, 6 takes 10-15 minutes longer. Maybe X58 will extend to Leven to replace it, doubt it though.

Roadworks at the ferrytoll are due to start next year problely around this time. Details will appear in January.

Citylink service should be moving to halbeath to help free up much needed space at the ferrytoll. Overall it seems to been alright the plans and should be I introduced towards the end of November.

If tickets bought on MB/CL could be used on Stagecoach services then it makes sense to go into Halbeath rather than Ferrytoll. There are already enough services from Ferrytoll into Edinburgh, but not enough from Halbeath. Wonder if the Megabus Sleeper will continue to call at Ferrytoll or move to Halbeath also.

Will long stay be permitted at Halbeath? Ferrytoll used to be useful for free airport parking. It still is, but with the 7 day limit it's not so good anymore for hoildays etc.

From what Im hearing there may infact Stop all overnight parking in Ferrytoll to free up much needed space and instead direct people to use Halbeath. Sleeper should be staying at Ferrytoll, ( never say never) Someone did say a few of the coaches peak coaches may also stop at the ferrytoll....

The problem with allowing Mb/SC tickets to be swaped with stagecoach service is it could lead to overcrowding. On many services can be full with long distance passengers.

It a shame neither the following ideas could not be done:

* Continue to operate into Charlotte sq towards the bus station.
* Then down Frederick Street. ( new stops ) Down onto Queens street non stop to the bus station, which will help speed up the services.

The fewer stops the better. A stop at the west end and ONE other stop before the bus station should be sufficient. But there'll be one on Prince's Street and I guess 2 others before the bus station. I remember a time where the first stop after departing the bus station was on Charlotte Square. The passengers are pampered now.

I don't fancy the idea of going down Frederick Street. Those cobbles are slippy when wet, not to mention when it's freezing!

Glenrothes will be full, hence the reason for the 32 at Aberhill. Is there not any more land that could be brought to expand Glenrothes or Aberhill?

The only problem with that suggestion is that the paving at the Queensferry Street/Hope Street corner has recently been reinstated, traffic is at the moment being allowed two-way through this corner by means of temporary traffic signals allowing alternate one-way working. When the bus gate opens this access will become restricted. I also seem to remember that one of the triaxle coaches got stuck turning in to South Charlotte Street from Princes Street a few years back so doing this would be a no-no. (There are also plans for public realm improvements in Charlotte Square once the trams are up and running.)

Glenrothes, no. They expanded it a few years ago. Aberhill, well it right beside a scrappies, but there is waste ground at the back of the depot.

If only there was a big empty depot in another Fife town that wasn't seeing much use..... :roll:

I understood that Cowdenbeath would be operating the X52, so I'd expect some of the older B7s that get replaced at Aberhill to move there.

According to the draft timetables on the company's website, the two X52 workings start/finish at Halbeath P&R, which would fit with the info I heard re Cowdenbeath operating these workings. It is also much closer to enable driver reliefs to take place.
I would however expect Glenrothes to be working the extra X59 short workings, at least one of which appears to be the existing peak journey "filled in".

It seems the First and last journeys each way on the X52 are operated by Glenrothes depot, While the Daytime runs must be Cowdenbeath.

That is whats causing some confusment.

So are folk required to use First services between Tillicoultry and Stirling? I think its £3.40 single.
