This has been bugging me for quite a while but why is there only 3 Alexander Dennis E400s (19654, 19655, 19656) allocated to Dundee and the rest to arbroath?

Would it more sense to put 19894 to 899 to dundee since these ones are more commonly used on the 20 dundee to forfar service?

Also why is there only 6 E400s (10002 to 10007) allocated to blairgowrie. Are they not getting more E400s for blairgowrie so the remaining olys and pyoneer allocated to blairgowrie can get sold or put into store just like 16811?

And any news on the olys allocated to arbroath and dundee (16881, 16883, 16658 and 16772) on whether they will follow pyoneer 16811 on being sold or put into store?

A number of changes are taking place on 30th September, it seems most are linked to amazon.

Dundee doesn't have any E400s allocated. The E400s for route 20 that you mention are actually outstationed at Forfar, and run the service from that end.

There are only 6 E400s at Blairgowrie because only route 57 could justify new vehicles (PVR 5+1spare). Not everything can have brand new vehicles!

As far as I'm aware, the Olys you mention won't be going anywhere for a while yet, at least until sufficient low floor replacements are available. In all likelihood that won't be until next summer when the V reg Tridents become too old for Fife schools.

The Tayway batch of E400s (19641-56) are actually all allocated to Arbroath for maintenance purposes, although three are "outstationed" at Dundee each night.

16230, the last remaining Olympian at Aberhill, will be replaced in October by ex London Y reg trident 17401.

No, not just you.

However some local authorities seem to think it makes sense, and appear happy to accept the contract price rises it generally entails.

Ferrytoll are also stating the M91 will now come November only operate to Halbeath.

A few peak journeys from M90/m91/m92 group may also operate via Ferrytoll.

16927 was substituted for a E400 on a 73A to ninewells hospital on Wednesday after it failed on the westway in Arbroath about 1645.

52666 seems to be very active around Arbroath recently even though its based at Dundee.

Off topic but teejay travel seems to have added a Volvo dart to its fleet as its normally seen on the 36 in Arbroath. the dart is plain white but no sign of its fleet number. The registration plate is KX05 KFE if that helps.

KX05KFE is a Dennis dart SLF. Nothing Volvo about it. Its previous history suggests it probably belongs to Dawsonrentals.

During period 5, another 6 tridents are reported to have moved up from London.

Perth have been getting a few of the R Reg Oly's from Fife recently, a couple of them are used on service 15 from Perth - Comrie. Also there's the Trident - 17061 (T661KPU) still at Perth, which has to be the worst bus in the Perth fleet...

PKC don't have any age restriction on their contracts. The R reg Olys from Fife went there over a year ago, when they won a lot of school runs back.

Don't think they do, the runs that go from Perth Grammar School and the new St John's Academy are 9 times out of 10 the normal service fleet ie East Lancs Kinetics, E300's and the Oly's, as they continue on elsewhere after the kids are dropped off, as the 647 Perth to Stirling via Perth Grammar and Crieff is a service bus also in which fare paying passengers can use it to. The odd occasion there is the odd Plaxton Premiere B10M coach...

16964 was retrimmed and repainted at Carlisle, prior to its transfer from Birkenhead to Fife.

Does anyone know if this website http://www.uk-buses.co.uk/fleetlists/stagecoach/ is reliable for up to date information on the stagecoach buses?

I looked at arbroath and its showing that all olys and vykings are showing at 'depot', even though I've seen them all in service recently in arbroath. Also vyking 16924 ST52 NTL and E400 19688 SP60 DTO are showing at arbroath even though they are now in fife (19662 SP60 DRX is actually based at arbroath).

Also, didn't east scotland had any more vykings during their time on the 73 'tayway' route a couple of years ago than the current 16 based at either glenrothes, arbroath and dundee?
