If the Woodhead route hadn't closed, how much longer do we think it would have lasted as 1500v DC with 76's?
Would it not have been viable to build dual voltage capabilities into the 87s or the 90s in order to make the route more versatile? Or would it have been easier to re-energise at 25KV AC and be done with it?
