Elotrains! A brand I've honestly never heard of before it popped up on eBay.

Came DCC-fitted and the accessory bag includes etched nameplates ('Diana'), so I'm a happy bunny.

That’s an absolutely fantastic model. I love all the rivet detail on it and it’s something a bit different too.

Another parcel arrived for me this morning. And, yes, it contained another 37. This time it is a very grey 37133 - described as a Lima body on a Hornby chassis.



I have not found any photos on line of the real thing in this livery, so can anyone advise if/when it was all-over grey?

I still have some shelf space available...

Very nice. This picture taken by John Morris shows 37133 in departmental grey 'sometime in the early 90s', whilst this photo by Sean Lancastle shows it in 'Dutch' by 1991. It was still in blue in 1989, so it must have worn base grey for a very short time.

Thank you for the gen and link to the photo.

The 37 gen site lists it working to Weymouth three times in the summer of 1990, so the photo must have been taken on one of those days.

Aside from a little shopping trip to Howes and Hobbycraft on Monday for paints, another Bachmann N Class appeared today after (again, another) eBay dib - 31843 for this one. It's in v good condition, and a great mixed traffic loco.

You may not be surprised to hear that another Lima 37 has found its way into my possession. This time it is 37713 in Load Haul livery:



This time I have a photo of the real thing, in the same colours, taken at Cardiff in 1999:

It used to be 37052 - so a shout out to forum member @37052 xb mr

OK. Another 37. But not just ANY 37 - 37216 (back when it was 37216 xot GD and covered in coal dust) was my first 37 for haulage, so "my machine". I was therefore very pleased to be able to acquire a model of it, albeit after it had been poshified by Stratford.

Thanks. No, it is another Lima. A limited edition of 1,000. Which makes me wonder how many are typically produced in an unlimited edition.

Another couple of Maunsell high window 6 compartment brakes were found this week (came as bundles so will sell off the accompanying Southern stock that's not in my proposed period). These will get renumbered at some point into a 3 set somewhere in the 222/232 range along with a corridor composite.

It's been a long time coming! I've heard mixed reviews about the model, that it possibly doesn't meet the high bar Accurascale have set with some of their later models which ended up arriving sooner! Still can't give a review of my own as it's gone back in the box as soon as I'd taken the photo. Impressed with TMC's weathering efforts though, and it certainly looks the part!

Well worth the wait, and I agree about the weathering. A superb looking locomotive!

Curious that Lima seem to have put the 'Loadhaul' logo in the wrong place on the loco compared to the photo of the real thing: I generally considered Lima to be bastions of accuracy with contemporary liveries, compared with Hornby's historical c*ck-ups. Still a striking livery that suited everything it adorned well, in my opinion, though.

I concur with others on here that TMC really seem to have an eye for prototypical detail with their weathering service. It's impressively realistic.

Are you missing one BR green variant? I thought they had no, half, and full yellow ends at various points?

I can't see 37116, in its 1987 Stratford special, listed? Yellow nose tops and around windscreen area. Black traction motor blower access hatches and front windows. Large logos and numerals.
Bachmann did that livery as, I think, a sales-area release.
Lima did 37116, in blue + Transrail logo.
