Or that all modern traction sucks and is plastic. My comeback to that is 'at least it doesn't take three days to get up to speed and half the journey to brake'.

But that doesn't stop people saying it.
Others include "dose" instead of "does", "baited" instead of "bated". When someone says they have "baited breath", I wonder what they are trying to catch![]()
In all fairness, its' can be a typo. I sometimes catch myself doing that, or saying dont' or maybe don;t. The keyboard I am on is not only crap but hinders my typing speed and accuracy horrendously. I'm just too much of a cheapskate to replace it and then untangle all of the wires...
I also hate when people say strait instead of straight.
