It's probably a Voyager. At Manchester Picadilly nearly all Euston trains cancelled due to OHL. According to NRE this is between Rugby and Milton Keynes. The 6.27 via Birmingham is running does anyone kmow how that gets through.

Hanslope Jn is the offending location...nothing southbound running
I know this will sound a bit naïve but is there a dodgy batch of wire from a supplier? Since the MML, ECML and now WCML have experienced rather serious dewirements in a short time period, I can't help wonder...
Or is it just down to poor maintenance regimes?
It's nice to see that Virgin already have an alternative routes information poster available, haven't seen this with East Coast when they wires are down. Hopefully my train from York tonight won't be too full!
Looks like a dewirement involving 5Y76 (0355 Northampton - Milton Keynes - Rugby). Damage to pans on both units (350103 and 237).
No it isn't. The 06:27 from Manchester is asbsolutely rammed all the way through the West Midlands down to Rugby when it is a 9-car Pendolino, as it was today - A Voyager would be no good at all for that service. It's probably a Voyager.

5Y76 was crossing from the Slows to the Fasts at Ledburn Junction when it brought the wires down. For 5Y76 to have both pantographs lost or damaged but not bring the wires down would be a remarkable coincidence and little short of a miracle!Anyone have any idea what train brought them down ? Since 5Y76 was on the fasts it couldnt have been that.
Having a good excuse for why they are not running trains, they "MAY" be taking the opportunity to mend the toilets.
Yet another WCML Notwork Rail infrastructure failure. Now the worst of winter and rain seems to be past I think next week I'll start a count.
I would suggest that the principal reasons would be a lack of available paths on the fast lines for the slower London Midland train services and a probable lack of traincrew caused by them being out of place due to the disruption. In general, due to attempting to provide a robust, workable emergency timetable in the face of the constraints thrown up by a period of extreme disruption. Why are LM only running a half hourly shuttle between MKC & EUS when there were spare trains at Bletchley this morning?
Depending on what length of line the dewirement knocked the power out over, or that Network Rail decided that they needed to take a block over, the train might have had no power. Alternately, it may not have been a high priority to get shifted with only two running lines available for use and the signallers focusing on restoring the passenger services to as near to normal as possible.Plus, why was a 92 hauled freight train blocking the down slow between Bletchley & MKC?

The principle reason is that LM are plain useless. They never have any ability to do anything out of the ordinary or a semblance of service recovery and it looks like an another pathetic show of giving up this morning.I would suggest that the principal reasons would be a lack of available paths on the fast lines for the slower London Midland train services and a probable lack of traincrew caused by them being out of place due to the disruption.
