You seem to know quite a lot about the Chiltern Line , so I would like to ask you something. You may think I am mad , but please indulge me.
What would it take to run 12 car non stop high speed services from Aylesbury Vale Parkway into Marylebone. Possibly thinking of 125 mph Javelins with a service pattern of 6-8 per hour with a 4 minute headway (in cab signalling)
Just ignore the money, say the budget is hundreds of millions and you would need to build a new station etc . Work on the basis that all of the stations on the Aylesbury line would close , except maybe Amersham. What infrastraucture would be needed.
