Correct, the Riviera fleet had them fitted at Knottingley.

The requirement for a Mk2 to be on the end of a Mk1 rake was removed quite a few years ago now when TPWS was introduced. This is because the risk of a head on collision was much reduced by TPWS

OTMR doesn’t reduce the chance of a collision. It is a monitoring/data recording device. I assume you mean TPWS.

I'm pretty sure that OTMR does nothing to directly prevent collisions, it exists to investigate afterwards. Is it TPWS you're thinking of?

Do we know if WCR have started doing anything with the MK1s yet? Or are we in for another year or so of watching several boiler certificates tick down?

(At the end of the day, I’m just a guy on the internet so I don’t have the financial information or risk… but I wanna see some sort of variety in East Anglia soon that’s not just Black 5’s! Although nothing wrong with a Black 5)
