Ha Ha. Oh er. Perhaps the Canadians can be got interested in them then ;).

Or the Iranians to replace their Pacers. :)
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Not withstanding the time it takes to introduce a completely new train type, with all the testing and certification processes involved, there seems to have been an excessively long time period involved from the first few sets undergoing tests, to the present day.

Surely this must be costing someone a fortune as half the fleet has been completed and is lying idle and not yet in revenue earning service.
Who is paying for the trains to sit around, Eurostar or Siemens?

It will cost more if the new trains are launched in dribs and drabs and the new services that they are intended for are disrupted by the odd random failure/teething problem.

Is there any testing or movements ?. All I ever see are the same two pairs in the same position at Temple Mills. Thats 374015+374016 in what I think are reception roads and 374011+374012 right alongside the main shed (visible from the main line).

The set that has been parked outside of Liege station for the past couple of months was gone yesterday, but the usual set at the depot west of Brussels Midi is still there.

It's no wonder they've gone; they'll have fallen into the sky. Amazing the wires weren't damaged though. :)

You can blame the site software for that. Perfectly the right way up here before upload.

Other posters don't seem to have that problem unless they are all trying to post their picture upside down.

The forum (or Tapatalk) can often post portrait photos in landscape, despite the EXIF data having the right data.

If you rotate the image using a viewer or gallery app, it will often do so by tweaking the EXIF metadata rather than actually rewriting the image data.

The forum won't be looking for such metadata features and neither will the readers' browsers.

Those aren't rotated but as they came off the camera. Older versions of vBulletin seem to have this problem sometimes. I suggest we upgrade to Xenforo.

On behalf of the admins, I'll just rotate the image locally than have the entire forum moved to another platform!

Was tempted to post a screenshot of the forum upside down and the pictures right way up captioned 'fixed'.
