The left seem to have got into a habit of losing.
European election - lost
General Election - lost
Referendum - lost
USA election - lost
German and French elections upcoming which may well go the same way.
I wonder if the left might think they don't have the right message.
This.
There are winds of change blowing across the world, and now it's time for the boot to be on the other foot.
Am I surprised by the result? No. The experts got it wrong with Brexit and they did the same with Trump - they have worse form backing a winner since my Gramps (God rest him) did with the gee-gees.
I won't be doing cartwheels, but I do think his victory is another one in the eye for the Global Elites and maybe a sign that the people are now in charge. Trump may be all sorts of things, but he can change and adapt - I just wonder if those who have been quick to criticise him will be as quick to praise him should he change and become more of a Statesman than a Businessman done well. It is going to be a big step-up for him, so it's up to him now to deliver.
'I don't want four years of Trump' some say, well 30+ years of Hilary hasn't exactly changed the USA for the better. Watergate and Benghazi were always sticking points, but I think that once she lost a) the support of liberals and the young radicals supporting Sanders and ABH (Anybody But Hilary) and then b) large numbers of the Homosexual community after the Orlando atrocity, it was going to be difficult to win them back. Four years of a racist in charge or four years of somebody who is despised and feared by even her own staff.... difficult one to call.
Plus, it is fun to see the SJW idiots cry because 'The Don' pulled off the seemingly impossible.

America was warned in June that this would happen. The Democrats voted for Clinton rather than Sanders, and they lost the "anti-establishment" vote.
The western world has been progressing too fast. Change was promised in America in 2008, and change happened -- very very slowly. The economy survived the recession and prospered
However half the country got left behind, and it's nothing Trump will be able to fix, but people are unhappy with being left behind.
Sanders v Trump would have been a lot closer, but maybe more volatile than Clinton v Trump. You would have had two extremes voting to keep the other out, and that would have divided the USA even more.
Trump may want a wall, but the Sanders millennials already have four of them around their safe spaces.
