Two of the worst ever candidates as nominees for POTUS.

I can see an assassination coming.

There is a slight irony in that the local arts group I am involved with will be performing "Assassins" as its annual musical next summer - I think a few are wondering if it may need a rewrite by then!

I'll not be making any predictions after getting the Brexit one so wrong but please not him America. This is NOT a reality TV show.

It will be an absoulute disaster if Donald Trump wins. Not just for the USA but for the whole world. The USA is already the most backwards thinking western country in the world and Donald Trump will just make it worse. Barack Obama has done so much to fix things and improve the USA over his eight years and if Donald Trump wins all his hard work will be ruined. Also if he wins the USAs relations with foreign countries (especially many Middle Eastern and African countries and others) will severley worsen. While some foreign leaders like Vladimir Putin will just use Donald Trump like a puppet. It is appalling that Donald Trump has gotten this far in the election. He is a horrible man (and very racist). I am just keeping my fingers crossed that Hillary Clinton wins. After so much experience and working as secretary of state i believe that she is the best person who is running for the job.

Jill Stein would be a far better alternative ;)

Though not without flaws herself- John Oliver covered non-mainstream alternatives a few weeks ago, and she did come across as as insane as guano!

If I was a US citizen, I'd be voting for Hilary. My handful of US based friends are doing so but all live in fairly safe Democratic States (Oregon, California and Maryland).

Regardless of who wins, I hope that people can respect the fact that either Trump or Clinton has won.

Also, please USA... two good candidates in four years time!

For Michelle Obama to be a candidate in the next 2-4 electoral cycles, the odds are probably shortening...

Rather depressingly, at least one person has been killed in a shooting outside of a polling station. 3 seriously injured

ITV and BBC have had differing counts all night now, why?

I think it'd be to do with the fact that many of these counts are based on exit poll predictions declaring that a state has been resoundingly won by a candidate. BBC are going with ABC predictions, not sure about ITV. I gather that Google is going off of actually declared results

ITV have 72 Trump, 75 Clinton at the moment.

49% Trump, 48% Clinton at 91% count in Florida.
Close races in a few states like Ohio, Penn State, North Carolina etc.

Things I regret not having a small bet on this year :

Leicester
Brexit
Trump

I would probably be rather quite rich after that lot!

What started as an 80%+ chance of a win for Clinton has now become 50/50. Eep

This is not going as planned, is it?

There is a slim chance Donny Boy could get in

It may be of interest, but Clive Dunn (of Dad's Army fame) died the year of the last US election - according to both twitter AND the BBC, he just died again!

One can not help but wonder if this is Trump trying to distract us from his surprise win!

It's mathematically impossible for Clinton to win Florida.

Indeed - there is more chance of the stored 442's being returned to service than she has of winning...

An American friend of mine just sent me a skype message asking what does he have to do to become a UK national in the event Trump wins

This is closer than it ever should have been. Trump winning key battleground states but I still think Clinton will do it but by a smaller margin than what was achievable

Virgina is Clinton.

That was a certainty... Mind you, CNN made a typo by not adding the I and A so their first headline said "CLINTON TAKES VIRGIN" which made me think Branson had sold out
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Thinking about this, i am concerned about Trump supporters intimidating people voting on the actual day

Do we know if this has happened at all?
