Just as I was thinking what an excellent job the BBC were doing with their coverage...
"We can now cross to JRM!"
had to get him out of the way quickly.

These vote shares + exit poll seat tallies point to a Gallagher Index score of around 23, the worst ever in a UK election.
I am not - they have gone from Conservative to Reform and the area was very Brexity. Farage/Daily Mail effect in action. Expect the same in many North East old labour seats. Labour up slightly in vote here. My gran would be spinning at that many Tories in her town!Low turnout in Sunderland…. nevertheless over 11,000 people voted for Reform. My flabber is gasted.
still don't see them with 13 seats if thats the best they can do in what was a solid Brexit voting area in 2016Low turnout in Sunderland…. nevertheless over 11,000 people voted for Reform. My flabber is gasted.
Blyth - Reform in 2nd place so thats another key one they haven't wonConcerned Reform will win NE Seats mind
there is a big move from Tory to Reform though. These were areas that Johnson did well in and people have moved to another charismatic chancer! Also a big Brexit area. Again another slight rise on Labour voteBlyth - Reform in 2nd place so thats another key one they haven't won
Should be Railfreight Metals really - thinking of Alcan flows and other steelflowsnice to see the Railfreight ‘General’ decals flag up on the wall at the Blyth declaration.
There is that, but Dories has been crushed a number of times during the evening, particularly when the talk of inducting MPs and others into the House of Lords and Harriet Harman's announcement of the life peerage came through. At least hes only be talked to C4 have sold out with Nadine Dories, Kwasi Kwarteng, Anne Widdicombe and Nadhim Zahawi all in the studio
She was talking earlier about how Sunak had messed up by dropping Boris's Windsor Declaration. Bet they're glad they got her inThere is that, but Dories has been crushed a number of times during the evening, particularly when the talk of inducting MPs and others into the House of Lords and Harriet Harman's announcement of the life peerage came through.
He was on the other channels as well. The BBC presumably have to take whoever is offered.I'm not sure who decided to put David Bull on the BBC to argue for Reform, but I'm not impressed, to put it mildly.
he will just be doing the rounds of the TV and radio studios.I'm not sure who decided to put David Bull on the BBC to argue for Reform, but I'm not impressed, to put it mildly.
And Farage rivals Johnson for hypocrisy and self-interest. They are both in politics as a money making opportunity and don't care what harm they do in that pursuit.there is a big move from Tory to Reform though. He's definitely struck me as one of the better Conservative ministers/former ministers - and two very good speeches from both Sir Robert and incoming MP Heidi Alexander. A 16% swing - possibly at the lower end of the swings expected tonight, but, again, possibly a bit of a personal vote for Sir Robert keeping the swing down?Fire up the Portilometer - (Former) Tory Minister dumped! Sir Robert Buckland given a shoeing. Fiery speech form the outgoing MP roasting some of his former colleagues .
Heidi Alexander’s return could bring some very welcome news on the transport front, particularly Rail too. He's definitely struck me as one of the better Conservative ministers/former ministers - and two very good speeches from both Sir Robert and incoming MP Heidi Alexander. The very best of them imo: given there has to be an opposition, it's a shame he didn't represent a more Tory area. He's definitely struck me as one of the better Conservative ministers/former ministers - and two very good speeches from both Sir Robert and incoming MP Heidi Alexander. WOW that is an ANGRY Tory. Shots fired!one of the better Conservative ministers/former ministers
Not that I agree with him on everything, but, listening to him on the BBC just now, his heart seems absolutely in the right place. It reminds me of Charles Walker tearing into Truss's government after the fracking debacle, only Sir Robert seemed ten times more angry, if that was possible! The very best of them imo: given there has to be an opposition, it's a shame he didn't represent a more Tory area.

Seems like people aren't particularly enthusiastic about Labour, more that they are fed up with the Conservatives
So far Emily Maitlis reaction so another of Dories rants about Boris has been my highlight of the C4 coverage tonight. The roll of the eyes says it all.
