I can't see these lasting, especially not the former.
Uber has surely been making substantial losses aimed at building a customer base for the rail ticket part of the company, as well as - crucially - encouraging wider use of their other products.
I'd rather use a site that offers useful features and excellent customer service, such as the forum site.
We wouldn't team up with a provider as poor as Uber if they paid us to. It's full of glitches and people only use them for discounts/cashback, which their financial backers can't afford to fund indefinitely.
I admit I wouldn't use them any more for walk up tickets if there is no longer a discount or cashback, but if they still offer free and convenient changes for Advances I'll continue to use them for Advances rather than the forum site which charges an administrative fee.
