Good point actually, while Dewsbury doesn't have a bus depot as far as I know, that raises the question, where will Transdev operate it from? Unless they will make a new depot in Dewsbury, they surely can't run it from Keighley or Harrogate?

Weaver Network seems to be doing a similar approach to Liverpool, where a certain area is given to one operator, unlike the area being under different franchises like Manchester. The Liverpool franchises for St Helens and Birkenhead use depots in those areas, so First will use their Huddersfield depot for work there and Transdev *might* take over Arriva Dewsbury?
The depots are pre-ordained (purchased by WYCA) so Huddersfield and Dewsbury will run from the existing First and Arriva depots.
Weaver Network is going to have 9 "main" depots, which it is buying from the existing main operators – Leeds West (Bramley), Leeds East (Hunslet), Wakefield, Five Towns (Castleford), Kirklees (Huddersfield), Heavy Woollen (Dewsbury), Bradford, Keighley and Calderdale (Halifax), with an operator taking on the main depot and the core network for each of those 9 areas. There will then be a selection of small contracts for minor routes and those around the periphery of the region that will be let individually, potentially to local independent operators to run under the Weaver banner from their existing depots.
The cost of this alone makes my eyes water!
That's interesting, as the Woollen operations are currently split across two sites, I'd be surprised if the existing operations of Heckmondwike depot could fit into Dewsbury! Though a while since I've been so perhaps this "carving up" of areas has already happened.
There will be smaller lots as part of franchising for services in the region. These can be school contracts or smaller contracts intended to be more accessible for a Small/Medium Enterprise to bid for and potentially win. These smaller lots won't come with a depot.

Do Cardiff Bus use the same software? A journey I looked up a couple of weeks ago only gave the day ticket price and not the single fare. A return trip would be capped at that day ticket price but some people do make single journeys.

When you open the new app, there should be a map. In the bottom-right corner, there is a bus icon. Press it to turn it on - there will be a green dot next to it to show this.
