From 4 September, there will be some changes to fares in Greater Manchester along with the good news that our £1 promotion fare after 7pm will stay in place in Lancashire.
£1 after 7pm across Lancashire
This £1 go anywhere fare will continue to be available for all journeys made within Lancashire. Other journeys will return to their normal price with daytime fares kept the same as now, except in Greater Manchester where new, reduced fares will be introduced.
As part of our partnership work with the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Transport for Greater Manchester and
System One, we are bringing in cheaper fares. This means the maximum adult single fare within Greater Manchester will be £2 and £1 for U19s.
The
System One day ticket will be reduced to £5 – this gets you travel on any bus right across Greater Manchester – it doesn’t matter the colour or company of the bus! Day return fares in Greater Manchester which are priced at £4 or over won't be available anymore as it will be better value for customers to just buy two £2 single tickets for £4 instead.
GM Saver 1 day tickets will no longer be available. Other local tickets which are cheaper than the
System One range or have boundaries outside of Greater Manchester will still be available.
Lancashire County Council price changes
From 28 August the price of single and return fares on our Ribble Country network will be increased by Lancashire County Council. Day and week ticket prices will be unchanged.
