Connecting onto the 1358 CH3 service to Sheringham, opposite the North Norfolk Railway ;) arriving there 1438 this Monday afternoon.

For the benefit next move, we'll pretend that the North Norfolk Railway is open and they're operating a yellow timetable... ;)

Unfortunately, you are only allowed to use timetabled services that currently operate in real time at the moment in time that this game is being played. This is one of the disciplines that so apply.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
In this game you must travel from the station or stop where the previous post left you although this may involve a short walk when changing between modes for example to a bus stop serving a rail station. No getting back on the same service you have just left. You must use a real timetabled public transport service although this can be train, bus, London Underground, tram or other light rail. You may also used water based transport as long as it's a timetabled public transport service.

This extract from the rules, as posted in the very first posting on this game, should be useful for new contestants to note.

Oh, that's annoying!! I don't interpret the rules that way, but it's up to you how you continue!

Yes, no pretending there are services running on a day when there are not. The exception to this is December 25/26 when as far as this game is concerned, a normal service is running.

Unfortunately, despite my controversial and now overruled side note earlier (Post #3947), I believe I landed us in Sheringham...

Can we please carry on from here?

I've deleted a couple of posts to tidy up and hopefully cause less confusion, no need to apologise Dan. I apologise for my ignorance to the rules, as pointed out by Paul S and Zoe, however, it has brought a wider issue to my attention, which I won't divulge however will take forward to the other Quizmasters in due course.

At Norwich, we remain on the train as it forms the 1550 service, which we take to Oulton Broad North arriving there at 1628 this Monday afternoon.

Scrap that, I did have an idea to get us out of that mess since the journey had looped back on its self. But things have moved on quickly.

I am withdrawing from participation from this thread until further consideration has been made to the matter stated to be under discussion, in an earlier posting.

****************************************************************************************************

Following the receipt of certain PM, I have now reconsidered my position and have decided to continue with my participation on this particular thread.

Leaving the railway station, we walk to Market Gates, where we board the 1945 First in Norfolk and Suffolk service 8 to Caister-on-Sea (Second Avenue) that arrives there at 2005 on Monday evening.

There do not seem to be many options here other than to head in the opposite direction on the 2015 First in Suffolk & Norfolk bus route 8 service but instead of just heading back to Great Yarmouth, we continue to Gorlseton, Town Centre arriving at 2050 on Monday.

I agree, not intentional, however.

We then check into a nearby hotel and then the next day we walk to High Street (opposite Boots) and embark on an absolutely WHOPPER of a journey, as we catch the 0623 First Norfolk & Suffolk route X1 to Peterborough (Rail Station), arriving there at 1029 on Tuesday morning.
