The minimum connection time precludes the use of the 2354 next onward departure, so we board the 0018 ATW service to Shrewsbury that arrives there at 0059 on Sunday morning.
It can be hard work planning a rail journey on Sunday in certain parts of the country due to timetable variations and bustitutions, and Shrewsbury seems to be one of those places. At least we can fall back on our old friend National Express....

We continue our travels across the south of the capital as we board the 1619 Stagecoach London service 54 to Elmers End Station, arriving there at 1639 on Sunday afternoon.
Heading over to the railway station, we change transport modes as we board the 1858 Southern service 2A44 to Preston Park, arriving there at 1938 on Sunday evening.
We take the two minute walk to South End Green. We board a Metroline service 24 bus, leaving at 2315, alighting at Westminster, Parliament Square at 2341 Sunday evening.
Heading over to Victoria coach station, we then board the 0100 Megabus service M7 to Cardiff (Kingsway), arriving thrre at 0415 in the early hours of Monday morning*.
This is a somewhat isolated area that we do not wish to be stranded in, so we board the 1138 Celtic Travel service 44 to Builth Road (Station Approach), arriving there at 1141 on Monday morning.
We enter the station and flag down the 1209 ATW service. We alight at Sugar Loaf at 1237, again by request, to pay homage to a former quiz long since departed
Again we remain stranded here until the next available service, which is the 1611 Arriva Trains Wales service 2M10 to Crewe, arriving there at 1920 on Monday evening.
