A ten minute half-mile walk takes us to Bedworth railway station. We take the 2222 London Midland train to Coventry arriving at 2236 Saturday evening.

The minimum connection time precludes the use of the 2354 next onward departure, so we board the 0018 ATW service to Shrewsbury that arrives there at 0059 on Sunday morning.

It can be hard work planning a rail journey on Sunday in certain parts of the country due to timetable variations and bustitutions, and Shrewsbury seems to be one of those places. At least we can fall back on our old friend National Express....

We walk four minutes to Shrewsbury Raven Meadows bus station where we take the 0745 National Express coach service 410 alighting at London, Marble Arch / Park Lane (Stop S) at 1235 Sunday afternoon.

ISTR that Shrewsbury is one of the largest places in the country not to have any decent level of Sunday services in the country.

We then board the 1245 Metroline service 82 to North Finchley (Kingsway), arriving there at 1339 on Sunday afternoon.

We take the two minute walk to South End Green. We board a Metroline service 24 bus, leaving at 2315, alighting at Westminster, Parliament Square at 2341 Sunday evening.

Heading over to Victoria coach station, we then board the 0100 Megabus service M7 to Cardiff (Kingsway), arriving thrre at 0415 in the early hours of Monday morning*.

This is a somewhat isolated area that we do not wish to be stranded in, so we board the 1138 Celtic Travel service 44 to Builth Road (Station Approach), arriving there at 1141 on Monday morning.

We enter the station and flag down the 1209 ATW service. We alight at Sugar Loaf at 1237, again by request, to pay homage to a former quiz long since departed
