Having just won the award of most unlikely place to meet a load of fellow forum members, I decide to join you on your next move & we are impressed that the 1 to 1645 into Preston is actually running to time for a change, and take it all the way to Stand 69 at Preston Bus Station, where the bus promptly arrives at 5:45pm (1745) on Tuesday evening.

We decide to go somewhere this game has never gone before: the Isle of Man. To get there, we need to get to a harbour. The nearest harbour is currently in Heysham, so we board the first service to Haysham; the 1921 Stagecoach Lancaster 2A. We alight at what is (presumably) Heysham's bus station (by Towers), the time now being 2024 this Tuesday night.

EXTRACT FROM THE QUIZ RULES

The playing area includes only mainland Great Britain. This includes any landmass connected to Great Britain by bridge or tunnel (excluding the Channel Tunnel). Domestic ferry services to outlying islands, such as the Isle of Wight and the Scottish Islands are also acceptable..

I make specific mention of this in respect of expressed wish to visit the Isle of Man which most certainly does NOT comply with what is mentioned above about the acceptable form of domestic ferry services.

Having had a sea crossing aspiration dashed somewhat, we no longer need to be in this location, so we next board the 2046 Stagecoach Lancaster service 2A to Torrisholme (by Cross Hill) that arrives there at 2108 on Tuesday evening.

So, we appear to be in a settlement called Torrisholme. From there, we board the 2136 Stagecoach in Lancaster service 2A to Lancaster University (Underpass), arriving there at 2204 on Tuesday evening.

Looking at available services, avoiding doubling back on ourselves towards centre of Lancaster we take the only available service which is the 23:28 Stagecoach In Lancaster service 40 towards Garstang, Post Office arriving at 23:49 on Tuesday evening.

with that we get the honour of travelling on the next available service which is the rather Parliamentary one service per day 525 Elite Service from Larbreck (Opposite Larbreck Hall) at 07:58 to Thornton Centre/Lawsons Road (Stop 3) (can be located on Google Maps here) arriving at 08:15 on Wednesday morning.

May someone please say if we are willing to accept the next entry as there are no other services from this stop aside from the same 75 we have just alighted from and the nearest available stop is 0.7 miles away.

We take the 15 minute walk to the stop on Preston New Road (opp Plumpton Hall) where we take 11:57 Stagecoach In Lancashire service 61 arriving at Preston City Centre, Bus Station, Stand 11 at 12:44 on Wednesday afternoon.

after what has felt like spending quite some time in Lancashire we decide to cross the Pennines so we take the 6 minute walk to Blackburn Train Station and board 1B23 1354 Northern Rail service to York arriving at York Railway Station at 1559 on Wednesday afternoon.

Impressed by the attractive & dignified dark-red-and-cream livery of our recent EYMS buses and the company's acknowledgement of enthusiast interest, we decide to take a look at one of their depots.

Across the street at the Wellington Lane stop, we board the 1213 EYMS service X46 to Pocklington, opp. EYMS Depot arriving 1323 Thursday afternoon.

Since we're playing on RailUK Forums, probably we should make a token effort to use a train.....

We take the five minute walk to Driffield railway station, where we board the 1457 Northern train to Hull arriving at 1528 Thursday afternoon.
