We next boar the 1325 First in Norfolk and Suffolk service X1 to Dereham (Market Place) that arrives there at 1418 on Sunday afternoon.

We take the 1430 Konectbus 11 to Watton adj Crown, arriving at 1455 Sunday afternoon

We next board the 1530 Kon(n)ectbus service 3 to Barford (Bus shelter on Watton Road) that arrives there at 1555 on Sunday afternoon.

We then take the last bus of the day out of Barford - the Konect 3 at 1656 - and travel back to Watton adj Crown arriving at 1725 Sunday afternoon

Just enough time to board the 1730 Konectbus service 11 to Toftwood (Chapel Lane) that arrives there at 1747 on Sunday afternoon.

Toftwood seems to be a maze of housing estates with numerous bus stops, but the next service I can find from (opp) Chapel Lane is at 0654 Monday morning on the Konectbus 11. We take it to Watton adj Crown, arriving at 0713

Finding yet another service to use, we next board the 0740 Konectbus service 6 to Wymondham (opposite Spinks Lane) that arrives there at 0823 on Monday morning.

We take the First in Norfolk and Suffolk Green Line 15A at 0839 and alight at the Norwich Rail station stop at 0900 Monday morning

Moving to stand 3 at the bus stances, we board the 1542 Arriva North West (Merseyside) service 80A to Sefton Park (Ullet Road/Halkyn Avenue) that arrives there at 1601 on Monday afternoon.

We walk a short distance west along Ullet Road to the bus stop adjacent to York Avenue. We board Arriva service 60 at 1616 to Bootle Bus Station arriving at 1658 Monday afternoon.

We take the six minute walk to the bus stop on Stanley Road where we board the 1718 Arriva North West (Merseyside) service 47 to Southport (Lord Street West/Westcliffe Road) that arrives there at 1818 on Monday evening.

We're a little too far away to walk to Southport railway station, but it is only 0.2 mile and four minutes to bus stop AA at Duke St / Lord St.

Here we join Arriva North West service 375, leaving at 1845 and alighting at Orrell Post (Orrell Road) at 1957 Monday evening.

We next board the 2004 Arriva Merseyside service 352 to Billinge (County boundary stop on Upholland Road) that arrives there at 2015 on Monday evening.

We cross the road for a six-minute connection with the next 352 .....

the 2021 Arriva Merseyside service 352 to Wigan, Wallgate railway station arriving at 2045 Monday evening.

We take the one minute walk to the bus stop on King Street West and board the 2115 Arriva Merseyside service 375 to Drummersdale (Dam Lane) that arrives there at 2221 on Monday evening.

It's overnight in Southport, then we board Stagecoach Merseyside service X2 from Lord Street (stop CF) at 0525 to Formby (Church Rd, opp. Police Station), arriving 0543 Tuesday morning.

Time to head northwards along the coast road as we board the 0625 Stagecoach Lancashire service X2 to Much Hoole (Brook Lane) that arrives there at 0721 on Tuesday morning.

We walk three minutes to the bus stop outside the Smithy Inn. From here we take Stagecoach in Lancashire service 2A leaving at 0804, alighting at Ormskirk (Station Approach) at 0849 Tuesday morning.

We take the six minute walk to the bus station and board the 0908 Arriva Merseyside service 310 to Skelmersdale (Concourse) that arrives there at 0933 on Tuesday morning.

We take the 1010 Holmeswood Coaches service 3A to Wrightington Hospital arriving at 1036 Tuesday morning.

We next board the 1103 Charlton Minioaches service 206 to Tontine (Sandbrook Road) that arrives there at 1124 on Tuesday monrning.

It's a seven minute 0.4 mile walk to Orrell railway station, where we get the opportunity for some steel-wheeled transport.

We catch 2J60, Northern Rail's 1159 departure for a circuitous journey via Manchester Victoria and Todmorden to Accrington, arriving at 1359 Tuesday afternoon (and after 2 hours on a Pacer, wish we had stuck to the buses).

Ignoring the obvious attraction of a run out to Lamb Roe (again), we decide to change the mode of travel from a bus on steel wheels to a bus on pneumatic tyres and after taking the eight minute walk to the bus station, we board the 1420 Pilkingtons service 14 to Great Harwood (Coronation Street) that arrives there at 1437 on Tuesday afternoon.

From the same bus stop, we board Lancashire United Ltd service 7 at 1454 and continue to Blackburn Bus Station arriving at 1519 Tuesday afternoon.
