Continuing on the buses, we board the 2124 Docklands Buses (TfL) No. 474 service. We alight at (you guessed it) London City Airport (Stop K) at 2132 Saturday evening, awaiting the start of International moves.

It can't be much longer, now...

From there, it's a trip on the 2213 Jubilee Line service. We alight at North Greenwich, the time being 2220 Saturday evening.

Does the Cable Car run this late?

Yes. It's currently on the summer timetable, which runs from 28th March to 30th September.

The cable car runs every thirty seconds, so it's impossible to plan a specific time. It takes 13 minutes in the evening, so let's board a cabin and say we arrive at Royal Docks at 2240 on Saturday evening.

Since the DLR has now shut down and the nearest bus is 0.6 miles away, we are forced to make the journey back over the Thames, back to Greenwich Peninsula. We arrive back on the last run, touching back down at 2300 Saturday night.

I'm very surprised the DLR finishes so early.

We then board the 2308 Abellio London service 188 to Elephant & Castle (New Kent Road), arriving there at 2351 on Saturday evening.

We walk to Elephant & Castle tube station, where we see that the last Bakerloo line train has already left. We decide to make use of our sleeping bag, before boarding the 0716 Bakerloo line service. We travel the entire length of the line, to Harrow & Wealdstone, where we arrive at 0805 on Sunday morning.

We find there's a very minimal service in this town on Sundays. We appear to have no option but back onto the Daventry Dart, and at 11:30 we get back not the Stagecoach in Northamptonshire D3 service, being ultimately the same bus that we've only just got off, and take it back towards Northampton.

We decide not to go all the way back to Northampton town centre, and alight at Sixfields Stadium at 12:10 on Sunday afternoon.

We spend some time shopping then we head to the bus stop outside the shopping centre. At 13:28, we catch the Stagecoach in Northamptonshire X7 service bound for Market Harborough. We ride the bus to its terminus at Market Harborough (The Square), where we arrive at 13:59 on Sunday afternoon.

We find out the railway station is within walking distance (0.5 miles) and head over there, to find an HST sitting on the platform, forming the 1414 EMT service. We board it, and enjoy a non-stop journey to London St. Pancras. We arrive precisely one hour later, at 1514 on Sunday afternoon.

Soon we'll maybe be able to board the 16:55 Eurostar service to Paris.

In the meantime, we wait on the same platform and board the 16:29 Southeastern service 2A54 to Borough Green and Wrotham, alighting at East Malling at 17:06 on Sunday afternoon.
