Rules

• You shouldn't wait for more than two hours after the first available service (to any destination) has left, after allowing for the minimum interchange time.
• You may walk up to about half a mile when changing modes to a stop in the vicinity, if you wish.
• The use of cars, taxis, planes or helicopters is not allowed.

To avoid any further delay to the game as there has been quite a lot of disruption already today, I'll leave say an hour's gap to allow for the correct time. On that basis, we then board the 0637 London General service 453 to Deptford Bridge (DLR station), arriving there exactly an hour later at 0737 on Tuesday morning.

We decide to take the underground from here, keen to explore points West of the City. It takes a while for the train to arrive, but the Metropolitan Line train rolls in at 06:46, bound for Chesham. We ride it until Chorleywood, alighting at 07:33 on Tuesday morning.

This does NOT appear in the rules of this relaunched quiz, so I have sent a PM to a forum quizmaster to ask them to consider adding that same ruling to the rules of this quiz.

We take the opportunity to embark on the longest direct journey on the underground without having to change lines. We board the 1036 Central Line service to West Ruislip, arriving there at 1201 on Tuesday afternoon.

We then decide to take advantage of a seldom-used service - the 1231 Chiltern service to London Marlebone. We arrive at 1257 on Tuesday afternoon.

We then join from outside the station the 1307 Arriva London service 2 to West Norwood, Bus Garage, arriving at 1412 on Tuesday afternoon.

We run down to see the U1 bus leaving. Intrigued, we wait for the next U1 service operated by Metroline (I think) to the mystical land of West Drayton, which arrives at 12:20. We get off at Hillingdon Hospital, arriving at 12:46 on Tuesday Afternoon.

We walk up to the train station, just 0.2 miles away (5 minutes), and board the 14:27 Southern service 2S86 to Sutton (Surrey), and stay on to the end. We arrive at Sutton (Surrey) at 14:56 on Tuesday morning.

Having arrived on the last train, then visiting Boston Bus Station and concluding no onward connections are available by bus, we call it a night in Boston.

Next morning we return to Boston Bus Station for the 0645 departure of Brylaine's route 113 bus to Spalding Bus Station, arriving 0728 on Wednesday morning.

Note to the observant - after posting this move, I checked Brylaine's website and it appears this route is now re-numbered as B13. Operator and departure & arrival times for our trip are unchanged.

We decide to continue through the flat areas where many flower bulbs are commercially produced and board the 0750 Stagecoach Norfolk (the former Norfolk Green) "Inter-Connnect" service 505 to Kings Lynn bus station that arrives there at 0931 on Wednesday morning.

The Coasthopper service then allows us to leave from Hunstanton Bus Station on Stagecoach Norfolk's CH2 at 1037, arriving at Wells-next-the-Sea, The Buttlands at 1129 on Wednesday morning
