That was the last bus of the day, so we call it a night and wake up fresh the next day, before boarding the 0642 Plymouth Citybus service 79 to Calstock (The Quay), arriving there at 0659 on Friday morning.

We then walk the 0.2 miles to the railway station and board the 0714 First Great Western service to Gunnislake, arriving at 0727 on Friday morning.

We then return on the same train forming the 0731 First Great Western service towards Plymouth, but we alight at St Budeaux Victoria Road where we arrive at 0804 on Friday morning.

Exiting the station and taking the short walk to St Budeaux Square, we then board the 0824 First in Devon and Cornwall service 1A to Latchbrook (Pondfield Road), arriving there at 0839 on Friday morning.

We then backtrack and board the next bus; Plymouth Citybus' 10A service, where we alight and take a pleasant 0.5mi walk to Plymouth's port, ready to leave the country.

Well, we attempt to buy a ticket on the 23:00 Brittany Ferries overnight service to Roscoff (France), leaving later that evening. Unfortunately, it turns out you need a passport to go abroad, and we're forcibly removed from the terminal by the UK Border Agency.

We then head West for a few blocks to Durnford Street and another street with a rather... interesting name, "Admiral's Hard". We can't help but take a photo of this street sign, whilst we wait for the bus to arrive. Whilst less glamorous than a ferry to France, Plymouth Bus service number 34 arrives at 10:11 to take us to Derriford Hospital, where we arrive at 10:42 on Friday Morning.

In reply to the request to find out whether we can head to the continent by way of the Channel Tunnel... the answer is no, sorry! If we can stick to the mainland and islands of England, Scotland or Wales please!

Well, we get off and, we realise the 42A/B is the only bus in town. This leaves us little option but to get on the 42B Plymouth Citybus service back to town at 11:35. The driver gives us an odd look, but we duly board. Deciding not to just go straight back to the city, we get off at Crownhill Low Level, arriving at 11:56 on this fine Friday morning.

After twenty-four minutes at Crownhill, our bus arrives; the 1220 No.34 Plymouth Citybus, where we alight at Exmouth Road. After a wet six minute walk, we arrive at Dockyard station. The time is 1240 on this (suddenly very wet) Friday afternoon.

With the Tamar Valley Line only a branch between two termini, we are restricted to where we can go, so we head to a more central location and board 2P89, the 1356 First Great Western service to Plymouth, arriving there at 1430 on Friday afternoon.

Do they ever turn the clocks back and forward in Plymouth. Evening time in Plymouth of 1430 in the middle of May will not be good for the tourists who wish to see all the naval heritage there...hock:

We then wait around 20 mins at the Orpington High Street / Carlton Parade stop for Stagecoach London's N47 Night Bus back to central London, departing 0150 and arriving at London Bridge Station at 0247 Saturday morning.
