I must admit I am getting somewhat fed up of Lancashire now

We next board the 2054 Lancashire United service 22 to Clitheroe (Station Road), arriving there at 2109 on Thursday evening.

Therefore we take the 2144 Northern service to Manchester Victoria, arriving at 2257 on a Thursday evening.

Not many services (surprisingly) in Manchester exist at this time of night, with the last departures of many of the daytime routes per se having departed about twenty minutes or so earlier. However, by heading to Piccadilly Gardens, there is one service still running, which is the 0039 Stagecoach Manchester service 43, which we take as far as Sharston (Harper Road), arriving there at 0109 in the early hours of Friday morning.

Unfortunately the first train of the day isn't until 0425, so I think we have no option but to reboard a 43 service. This time we take the 0206 departure to Piccadilly Gardens, arriving there at 0250 in the early hours of Friday morning.

I have a feeling that you meant to say.....Friday morning.

We are fortunate to know that a few of the Northwich area bus services actually stop outside the railway station so we make our way from the station to the bus stop and board the 1246 GHA Coaches service 45 to Higher Whitley (Birch and Bottle PH on Northwich Road) that arrives there at 1309 on Friday afternoon.

Then we take the Merseyrail train at 2205 to Sandhills, arriving 2214 on Friday evening.

Incidentally, do we just pretend Christmas doesn't exist on this game and use 'normal' times? I couldn't find anything in the rules.

The matter in question was addressed in the rules of the original quiz and I have sent a PM to the forum quizmaster who opened this new thread to ask that the rules of this quiz be added to with clarification of the matter you have so raised.

We then take the short hop on board 2U66, the 2254 Merseyrail service to Hunts Cross, arriving there at 2302 on Friday evening.

I must admit, it is rather impressive that the service frequency at this time of the day on this route is the same as it is in the day (i.e. every fifteen minutes). That is pretty good! On many other lines with a similar frequency drop down to half hourly or even hourly in the evening!

As the local buses and train services appear to have ceased for the night, we endure a wait on the platforms for the 0607 Northern service to Widnes, where we arrive at 0612 on Saturday morning.
