Not much of note here at this time on a Saturday night and we decide to head off elsewhere, so taking the 3 minute walk to the bus stop on Braithwaite Road, we next board the 2051 First South Yorkshire service 2 to Wickersley (Bawtry Road/Northen Road) that arrives there at 2104 on Saturday evening.
This appears to be the last Saturday service for all modes of public transport so we make overnight accommodation arrangements and return to the station on Sunday morning after consuming a most hearty breakfast (the type that Ma Larkin used to make in "The Darling Buds of May") and board the 0908 Northern service to Doncaster that arrives there at 0930 on Sunday morning.
Thwarted by a rail service, we decide to return to the West Country and board the 2030 FGW service to Totnes that arrives there at 2323 on Sunday evening.
We then walk (cutting across borough park to keep it under half a mile) to Coronation Road, opposite Royal Seven Stars Hotel, from where we catch the 2350 NX route 404 to LONDON, Victoria Coach Station, arriving at 0620 on a Monday Morning.
This recently opened coach station is in an open area, not too far away from the Tower area and is an utter disgrace in its paucity of facilities, so we cannot wait to move away from there and take a short walk to Chapel Street where we board the 1435 Blackpool Transport service 7 to Saltcotes (Saltcotes Road) that arrives there at 1522 on Monday afternoon.
Taking the short walk to the bus stop on Benson Road, we then board the 1701 Blackpool Transport service 9 to Norcross (Swan Drive) that arrives there at 1717 on Monday afternoon.
We change services in order to facilitate our omnibus travelogue of the Blackpool hinterland and board the 1811 Blackpool Transport service 5 to Blackpool (Halfway House PH on St Anne's Road) that arrives there at 1845 on Monday evening.
Walking around the corner to the bus stop by the airport, we move away from Blackpool area as we board the 1900 Stagecoach in Lancashire service 68 to Ashton-on-Ribble (Broadway), arriving there at 1942 on Monday evening.
Taking the 3 minute walk to Clifton Avenue, we next board the 2032 Stagecoach in Lancashire service 61 to Wrea Green (Grapes Hotel) that arrives there at 2059 on Monday evening.
Taking the 6 minute walk to the Great Times bus stop, we then board the 2310 Stagecoach in Lancaster service 40 to White Lund (Homfrey Avenue) that arrives there at 0016 on Tuesday morning.
We then call it a night, and we then wake up and board the 0535 Stagecoach in Lancashire service 42 to Poulton-le-Fylde (St Chad's Church), arriving there exactly an hour later at 0635 on Tuesday morning. (not Wednesday Paul )
Making sure that we have chosen the right bus shelter of the two outside the church, we board the 0644 Preston Bus service 75 to Burn Naze (Reta Drive) that arrives there at 0658 on Tuesday morning.
Assuming we are at Langdale Road Shops, which we check with a newsagent there, we next board the 0823 ClassicBus North West service 8 to Cleveleys (Victoria Square) that arrives there at 0917 on Tuesday morning.
We take the 4 minute walk to Corporation Street where we board the 1020 Blackpool Transport service 2C to Knott End on Sea (Esplanade) that arrives there at 1120 on Tuesday morning.
Deciding to head inland, we next board the 1245 Stagecoach in Lancaster service 81A to Kirkby Lonsdale (Lunefield Drive) that arrives there at 1334 on Tuesday afternoon.
