Hedge End was the correct answer. However, you are only allowed to give 1 answer per clue. As you said Hedge End first, I think that is the answer I am to accept - however you lose 3 points for making an extra guess.

I think the fairest resolution is, as I said, that I accept your first answer (which was correct), so you win 1 point as per the scoring system (for getting a correct answer on clue 5); however, you also get 3 points off for making another guess on the same clue.

As the answer that counts was correct, I would say yes, it is your turn.

I agree with Robinson's verdict there, as a one-off thing. Obviously, some posting 'Abbey Wood, Aber, Abercynon ... Yorton, Ystrad Mynach, Ystrad Rhondda for clue 1 would not be entitled to the same discretion (15 points for getting the correct answer, but a 2000+ point deduction for multiple answers would just be plain stupid)

(Somewhat related to this thread, I wonder how Ivo's doing, he's not shown his face here in a while, and I miss taunting him with Twerp and Bath a bit )

Remember that in such scenarios where players make multiple guesses on the same clue only the first answer can be accepted, even if subsequent answers are correct.

I agree with Robinson. Sprinter Man score -2 (1-3) as broken down. If somebody at some stage posted: "'Abbey Wood, Aber, Abercynon ... Yorton, Ystrad Mynach, Ystrad Rhondda", they would only gain any points if the correct answer was Abbey Wood. They would lose 3 points for each answer given with the exception of Abbey Wood.

I considered Stockport, but the bay is still operational and available for use, despite being rarely used, thus I would say doesn't fit.
