Not Habrough, but a good attempt. The answer was Bare Lane, the bonuses being for the north curve at Hest Bank and the Heysham branch. I suppose I worded it slightly badly, so I shall leave it as open floor.

I'll confirm that the only post privitisation class calling at Deansgate is the 185s heading to Preston and beyond. Unfortunatly, I can also confirm that there is no services operated by EMT or heading to Huddersfield or Doncaster.

I also realise that Stevenage was a bit of a stupid answer.

I was hoping that:
a) a Liverpool-Nottingham or beyond was booked to call (gaining me a service to South Yorks)
b) a Liverpool-Scarborough was booked to call (gaining me a service to West Yorks)
There are obviously direct services to Greater Manchester.

As my gamble hasn't paid off, I shall take the penalty.

I don't think I am going to get there, but I will almost certainly kick myself when you reveal the answer.

The answer I was looking for was Retford. There is 1tpd to Newcastle, a handful of East Coast Leeds services and 1tph to Sheffield (making 3 PTE areas served). Michael Palin of Monty Python fame recalls frequently visiting Retford to trainspot.

I'm not sure if I can legitimately claim the points for that after no legitimate answers were given on either of the final 2 clues. I suspect that will tempt the quizmaster to mark the clues down as unreasonable.
