Wow only 1 diagram. whats gone wrong?

Looks like they ate hoping to get a 2nd one out on the 1853 Cardiff

HD01 & HD04 are both out of service at Crewe, the former on exam and the latter still being looked at on Crewe ETD, it’s still yet to move back over to ATC following some more issues.

HD07 suffered dragging brakes yesterday morning and is on repair at Canton

HD06 failed this morning with an air leak on 67020. This has now been swapped for 67017 and is hoped to be out later this afternoon, stepping into 1W57 at 13:30 from Crewe

FYI this is NOT my photo, I've taken it from the Class 67 Facebook Group and all credit goes over to whoever took it*

82220 looks quite nice, although she doesn't have a number on yet by the looks of it and the front before the headlights is black. The new coaches have had the coach letters added, so coaches A, B, C, D and E. Testing begins Monday so lets see what happens!
It's a screen shot from Railcam and should not be shared here.

Because it's one of Railcam's rules. Shouldn't share screenshots from Railcam unless it's on their specific Facebook page.

That isn’t correct. Where in the terms and conditions does it say that? As long as you credit Railcam you can post a screenshot here, to a Facebook group etc.

I see that whatever's possessing Set 5 is yet to be exorcised.

Shame, hopefully 197011 doesn't end up too rammed!

Will be 197011, HD05 failed on Canton.
There doesnt seem to be a day recently where one doesnt fail about to go into service. Plus others out of service for repairs/exams. It seems very poor recently, far worse than it was a year or so ago. This is why im of the option 197s should have just been ordered for all Manchester-South Wales.

The good thing is a 197 can easily match if not beat a MK4 hands down.

I guess tomorrow the Holyhead to Cardiff will be a unit. As no set will end the day in Holyhead.

At least it covers the North Wales Coast before the tourists wake up.

I presume it very unlikely that there are any other 197s in Holyhead to join 011 on the way south.

Unless one of those stored 'Cambrian' 197s can be put into service!

Not such an issue on the Holyhead though as you say. Im more concerned about the constant subbing for units on the Manchester-South Wales.

I hope that is not a suggestion that the Holyhead would manage fine as a unit and that when there are 4 Mk4 sets available, it should be the 4 Manchester diagrams that stay as Mk4s. Such would suggest that politics are triumphing over passenger provision. :)

No doubt it would be pointed out that there was no way to reduce unit substitution on Cardiff-Manchester in such cases, but I am sure that there is and there would be balancing moves that could be worked if needed.

Was on a GWR 166 earlier and we raced HD03 out of Newport, it started moving a good 3 seconds before us and we were quickly able to catch up to it and matched it's speed up until the tunnel. Puts the MK4's acceleration speed into perspective in comparison to a DMU!
