Yes, nothing can be done about the Wilmslow turn around (much as it is a massive annoyance for those of us coming from Manchester it happens irrespective of stock)

Really hope the sets make it through the rest of the day, but sadly no conclusion can be reached until the last diagram makes it to the end (arrival of the 18:30 from Manchester into Cardiff?)

Both delayed by about an hour due to signalling issues Abergavenny to Pontrilas (and possibly beyond). 1W63 held at Abergavenny then allowed forward at caution to examine the line.

Was going to have a trip on 67029 tonight on 1W63 but being terminated at Crewe, one for another day!

Some disruption this evening with the signalling issues mentioned above but the sets have run everything as booked without issue themselves.

Tomorrow is planned 5 out again, a minor change is that there is a planned diagram swap in the evening with the 1230 from Manchester with HD04 going on to form the PM Holyhead and HD07 from the 1030 from Manchester forming the 1653 back to Manchester.

This is to allow HD07 to have some electrical repairs, it should be replaced on Wednesday by HD02 which is having some post exam repairs tomorrow.

There were only 5 sets for a very short period, HD04 having AWS issues at Cwmbran and now expected to head back to Canton.

67022 is due out on test tomorrow running to Shrewsbury and back.

It’s failed at Cwmbran

At least that is close enough to civilisation. No one got 8 hours on the set in the way they did with the 197 on Sunday night / Monday morning.

After the success of yesterday, today seems to have been a bit of a drop. 1-13 now on completed days, but plenty of time left for that completion number to shoot up.

Yes. That's exactly what is planned to happen, hopefully a little more successful than yesterday's identical swap.

Loco wise, 67022 and 67029 are expected back at ATC tomorrow, 022 will go onto HD03 following it's test run earlier and 029 will be spare/recovery for now.
