TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

Post Christmas status/plans for the sets are:

67016+HD01 Cardiff-Cardiff Diagram tomorrow, spare Sunday, w13 to Crewe and return on Monday before a loco swap to 67015 for the evening Holyhead on Monday.

67013+HD02 exam over the weekend, planned back out on Monday.

67020+HD03 stabled in Holyhead planned back on Monday morning from Holyhead

67025+HD04 on heavy exam at Crewe

67017+HD05 starts in Crewe tomorrow finishing in Cardiff, on the Cardiff diagram on Sunday and starts out on the First Cardiff-Crewe on Monday.

67010+HD06 undergoing wheelset change at Crewe ETD over the weekend followed by minor exam.

67029+HD07 is planned out on Crewe starts and finishes Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Obviously all can (and probably will) change at short notice but that's the aim.

Should be the same 5 out tomorrow too. Wednesday there's 5 sets available but only 4 diagrams as 1V31 runs from Chester so is booked as a 197 diagram all day.

HD04 and HD06 are planned to swap locos tomorrow with 025 heading to the ETD to go on 06 and 010 heading to ATC for 04.

Always puzzled me, Why is the first class coach wedged between standard class?
Why not at 1 end like most other operators.

PRM access, 1st has one of the 2 accessible areas/toilets, if it was at the end it would leave certain short platform stations with potentially no doors at which the ramp could be deployed.

Swapped to 015 now in the system. 016 is due an exam tomorrow so if its not swapped it wouldn't be able to go out from Holyhead tomorrow.

67013 set 2 in trouble on 1W59 pine at Hereford. Working 5V42 back to Canton.

67029 set 7 turning at Hereford on
1V42 then back to Chester as 1W59.

1V50 starting at Chester.

If mean HD02 it's nothing to do with the doors. Loco was quite happy with DVT leading but once it was leading it was extremely low on power.

Same 4 sets planned tomorrow, 1V31 diagram is again diagrammed as a 197 due to overnight engineering works meaning it comes from Chester.

67015 is planned to come off HD01 to be replaced by 67016 at Canton before it works the evening Holyhead, believe the plan is then for 015 to go onto HD02 replacing faulty 013 for when there's 5 planned diagrams from Friday.

1V62 also currently showing as allocated to the same pair.

Whilst I can sympathise that Holyhead prevents the expected diagrams from operating, today is definitely a failure for the Mk4.

When predicting that TfW would fail to run 5 diagrams on more days than they succeed in running 5 diagrams in 2025, I did not expect the first failure day to be with 153s out substituting (there is also a 197/0 on the 12:30 ex Manchester).

So far yesterday does not count because there was no way to run 5 diagrams, today means it is 100% failure so far. Things can only get better.

The 153s were probably the only thing available at Crewe to replace the failed mk4. Better than a cancellation.
Why is it 100% failure? Surely 100% failure would be no mk4s out but as far as I can tell there are 3 out.
