I only just noticed that Metroline have an extra BZL decker - VMD671. Looks like it’s been in service for a few weeks now. Does this come out of those that were going to be operated by Stagecoach in Middleton ? Are there any more due ?
Until 46022 is in use at Oldham, 48107 can’t transfer to Queens Road to displace the last Strata. For those of you who thought you had seen the last of the Stagecoach Mellor Stratas, I'm afraid 44904 has been on 480s today, from 09.25 (replacing 36780).
As I recall, Middleton gets 39 of the BZL 'deckers (86031-69). Metroline had 104 (VMD367-470), and this additional one (VMD671) makes it 105. There were 150 in total so there's six still to be allocated.I only just noticed that Metroline have an extra BZL decker - VMD671. Looks like it’s been in service for a few weeks now. Wait theres 6 for Middleton? I thought it was 4 to replace the JPT and MX62 enviro300sAs I recall, Middleton gets 39 of the BZL 'deckers (86031-69). Metroline had 104 (VMD367-470), and this additional one (VMD671) makes it 105. There were 150 in total so there's six still to be allocated.
Similarly there are 20 12m BZL single-decks. Metroline have VMS361-66 and VMS663-70 (14 - although not all of the latter are in service yet), Stagecoach are supposed to be having 76101-06 for Middleton.
The 12 short BZL single-decks (66071-82 at Stagecoach) were an additional order.
It was six last time I saw someone mentioning them, it may well be four!Wait theres 6 for Middleton? I thought it was 4 to replace the JPT and MX62 enviro300s

Yes. In fact in today’s Combined Authority meeting while discussing bus franchising costs it was mentioned that some vehicles expected this year now won’t be delivered until the first quarter of next year. Quote below with the link to the report.I know this might be irreverent right now but is the Bee Network due any new order
I'm hoping these will replace some of the more unrealible busesYes. “The current forecast for 2025/26 is £51.6m, compared to a budget of £33.9m. The variance is predominantly due fleet delivery expected during 2024/25 being delivered in Q1 2025/26, the associated bus CCTV installation also being rephased into the current financial year and finalisation of land acquisition for Stockport Depot”
That’s great thanksAs I recall, Middleton gets 39 of the BZL 'deckers (86031-69). Metroline had 104 (VMD367-470), and this additional one (VMD671) makes it 105. There were 150 in total so there's six still to be allocated.

13176 is now operating the 95 so hasn’t transferred.There are more strikes on the 10 - 12, 18, 23-24 October

I can confirm that 13178 is now at Oldham

13176 has moved to Middleton and is currently on the 118

It seems to be a blip, the reference to 13176 having operated a journey on the 118. 11871 is also shown as having operated the same journey, and it's 11871 which has actually tracked.13176 is now operating the 95 so hasn’t transferred.
Sent for scrap.Once Middleton is Electric what will happen to the 24 plate MMCs that are there?
Hopefully mostly to Oldham as we need some busesSent for scrap.
I kid, they’ll be off to the other stagecoach depots in Manchester
The Classic E400s there will be goingHopefully mostly to Oldham as we need some buses
Probably to be scrapped or sent to the Museum of TransportThe Classic E400s there will be going
The Museum has been gifted 19001 already, how many do you think they want or need??Probably to be scrapped or sent to the Museum of Transport
Well Middleton will be finished (hoepfully) by November so their e400mmcs can go to OldhamI think it's time for the B5s to be replaced as 13191 has broken down everyday this week so far
So will the 24 plate MMCs replace the B5s because if so then it will be an upgrade on my route as we use the B5s and my days they are unreliableWell Middleton will be finished (hoepfully) by November so their e400mmcs can go to Oldham
I think that will depend on when the electric buses are delivered.Well Middleton will be finished (hoepfully) by November so their e400mmcs can go to Oldham
B5’s are going nowhere anytime soon given as they have been painted and internally refurbished.I think it's time for the B5s to be replaced as 13191 has broken down everyday this week so far
Does that not suggest a fault with 13191, rather than B5s generally?I think it's time for the B5s to be replaced as 13191 has broken down everyday this week so far
They've all be delivered and are waiting in storage at Tyrers (amongst other places)I think that will depend on when the electric buses are delivered.
Theyre not for bee network or even Manchester..Noticed on bustimes that stagecoach east Scotland 27125/6 have been transferred to stockport. Any ideas why?
Well the B5s are very unreliable in general from what I can see, I think 13173 broke down on Friday whilst working a 348 serviceDoes that not suggest a fault with 13191, rather than B5s generally?
