Sounds like a good few days out there. Just hope the weather is not too rancid for you on your travels and your PSUL move works. You never know, 390114 might just fall into your lap - I'm sure that everyone who follows your escapades is rooting for you and hope you come up trumps!

I hope too the weather behaves, it would be quite the bowl out otherwise! I finally had luck with the East Putney PSUL so I'm feeling lucky with this one.

If 390114 falls I'll be bouncing off the walls to finally have the class cleared. As for Blindtraveller's teaser about the moves south, all will be revealed soon enough...

Bring it on I say, it will be an epic one!

It sounds like a great time! I don't know how I got a central Scotland though! Hopefully 390114 will appear for you on the trip!

You're not the only one!

#techsOneStepCloser is the hashtag for next week. Tweets will begin by 0630 on Monday 25th January and last until sometime late on Saturday 30th January. I'll explain in the trip report what the hashtag and trip title is about, don't worry!

Last 3 shifts to go before the trip, you cannot imagine how much I'm looking forward to it! 46 day remain until the New York trip too, oh I really can't wait for that one! :D

Morning ladies and gents!

#techsMiracle is the hashtag for Monday. Tweets to begin properly from around 0600 until around 2200 on Monday.

Where am I off to? Well that would be telling! Plans are numerous, but most likely it'll end up as a WMDR to have a bit of a clearout. Not to mention a catch up with Kite159 following his getting stuff in my local area before me!

I am also tempted to pop down Bristol way and go after my last two GWR 150s (131 and 216) but that'll be decided on the morning. I'll also explain the story behind the hashtag, as per usual, in the trip report.

You weren't wrong about Bermuda Park!

#everytimewebash is the hashtag starting TOMORROW and on Monday. Last minute planning tonight has had the magic plastic pulled out for the first time in ages. A Travelodge (for the location more than anything) has been booked in a particular location, I'm sure some of you can guess what's coming up on Monday! I didn't know they charged you £2 per booking if you pay by any other way than debit card mind!

Tweets to launch around 0900 I think in the morning, and I'm about to announce it on Twitter. Tweets will probably end on Monday evening, at an undecided time but probably around 2030.

Bring on the morning, time to go de-rance!

Hopefully you will get a room not facing that particular station, there be a tesco express by the entrance for a supply raid

Damn! Now how will I beat you? ;)

What are you planning on doing tomorrow after the certain shack? I might be in the area (in the big city close by) but not certain yet.

Well if you get the same train as me we'll see who gets off first! ;)

Get the shack in, bus ti Tamworth, a 350 to Lichfield, Starship it down to the Bat Cave then onto cats and trams! Yep I plan to get the 1055 off The Bone and go from there!

Afternoon all,

My day out tomorrow is organised, the plan is to shack attack on the Heart of Wales line. It's a cheap day out and gets me working on knocking down the 89 ATW served shacks that I need. Obviously there will be no winners for haulage, but that's not super important on a trip like this one.

No hashtag as I can't imagine I'll have much data signal (or any at all!) in the parts I'm off too. I anticipate, however, posting the trip report in the evening, by around 1930.

Alarm to be set for 0530 however...Wish me luck!

I'm sure that an avid shack scratcher like yourself will manage to cope without any winners. Good luck and enjoy your day.

Good luck indeed tech, 89 shacks to clear the heart of wales area, wow. I'll be interested to hear what units are kicking round that area, I need a baotload of CF's units and Cardiff's definitely on my agenda for Junes trip away. 55013's trip report has already, enlightend me a bit, so I look forward to your account too. Happy hunting mate.

Fair play, Tech. You and the rest of the trip reporting mob have inspired me to a day out. Clearing required track is the aim, but have already scored one shack and zwei dogboxen...:)

Oh indeed, it actually was fine. If you go into it knowing you won't score owt but shacks it's not an issue. I'll be back hunting the winners again before too long, no doubt.

89 across all of ATW's network, the Heart of Wales is nearly there now!

I shall be genning you up as much as possible before your trip in June!

Afternoon all,

As announced yesterday afternoon on Twitter, tomorrow's hashtag is #evacuatethelists

Tweets to launch around 0700 and end sometime in the evening. The mission to get to Liverpool, have a social bash with Fishquinn and hopefully get my last MerseyRail shack (Bootle Oriel Road), my last MerseyRail units (507017, 507029 and 508139) as well as any Northern leaps before heading back south to possibly linearly bash an ATW shack on the way home!

Good luck with Bootle Oriel Road (for it be a rather nice shack, with a dodgy subway [unless it's the other Bootle station with that druggie Subway)

Cue Virgin putting on a Voyager to Liverpool *evil laugh ;)*

I've also posted regarding gen on TOPS Request Thread, any gen will be welcome. 0900ish is fine, as I'll not be leaving until the 0908 from Hereford anyway, arriving Lime Street at 1121.

Kite: It's tempting, but it's cheaper by a fair margin to do ig this way. Even so, I am considering getting Hartford out of the way forever, I'll see what I feel like doing after my roast pork dinner!

No idea where 507029 went in the end, it wasn't on Birkenhead when we passed it around 1520. No matter, it will be found another time!

Cheers for the gen!

Announcing the hashtag for Monday 4th April, possibly Sunday 3rd April too!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Confirming there will be a visit to Manchester on Sunday too, as well as Liverpool next Monday! :D

Bring on the major Metrolink clearout that I expect to have <D

Tweets will launch properly around 1030 on Sunday (with probably the odd few during this week too) and last until around 2030 next Monday. Keep it tuned to #techknowshisenemy for the action! Oh, and the trip report has already been started, the backstory part is almost done. Hurry up Sunday, a much needed unwind after another long week of work!

So much for going back north as much as possible this year eh? Thanks to the forum member posting the link on the Forthcoming Galas thread earlier, I'm off to the Bluebell Railway's gala this weekend! I can only do the Sunday there sadly, but hey ho.

#youvegottajumpjump is the hashtag in play, the trip's tweets will begin around 1730 on Saturday and last through until around 1800 on Monday. I'll explain the hashtag in the trip report, of course. Another musical reference, and it was tough to choose from about 9 options for the hashtag!

Bargain hotel booking at easyHotel in Croydon, and thanks to some help from Blindtraveller and Kite159 I'm going all the way to East Grinstead and back, for a tiny sum of £28.80 (minus cross-London transfers, I'm allowing £10 for those, so £38.80 in total) which is just unbelievable. I've even had enough left over for ordering the 2016 NREA and a plastic cover for it!

Bring it on! <D:D

Sounds great Tech, still trying to decide what to do this weekend but I think I'll have a day on Merseyside and perhaps a day somewhere else, depends what the weather's like and how many Merseyrail (or Northern) winners I get.

Looking forward to the trip report.

Have a good day at the Bluebell, I shall be heading towards the GWR on Saturday courtesy of NENTA's Cotswold Adventurer from North Walsham to Worcester. Route is Norwich - Stratford - NLL - GWML, then over Sapperton to Cheltenham. Coach transfer to GWR then a days bashing on the GWR with time for everything out (steam, diesel & dmu) then coach transfer to Evesham for a run home via the Cotswold line. Motive power should be WCRC 47/57 - will have exact gen on Thurs/Friday.
