The stickers also look distinctly SWT-y, but maybe they are going to be left like that. I do note however that it is described in one tweet as "Partially Refurbished" - which certainly does seem to be the case. It does raise the question though of why they've sent a half finished train out, unless it's doing some media duties and then going back to get finished?

The unit appears to do two return trips today between Hampton Court and Waterloo, running up as 1Q99 and 1Q00 and returning as 2Z00 and 2Z03. Anyone know anything about this?

Based on a few different things, it seems to be related to Ant & Dec's saturday night takeaway. Presumably they are doing something live on the train based on the timings of 1Q90, 2Z03 and the program, and the other trains were a practice run/shot getting exercise. I suppose it also goes some way to explaining the reason it's emerged half finished.

Yes that is confirmed interior and exterior completed Friday. Apparently due on ITV tonight at 7:30 live!

Outside same as others, new carpet and seats fitted.

The standard class is awful. Dark, sterile and lazy, unlike the welcoming SWT colours. The orange handles clash horrendously and them not being done is just disgraceful.

First looks decent though.

Nothing special, but looks OK. I was never keen on SWT's bright-red-but-fades-quickly moquette. Together with the powder blue end walls and doors it made the interior look cheap.

First has not moved on this phase but will do for future mods.
Power points not installed in standard in this phase
TMO still in place on this Unit but plans are to remove it

The interior renders from a few months ago had them as a sort of teal (to my eye, not a million miles away from the colour used in Firsts' Barbie liveried trains, example), although if they are going to change, a slightly more subdued colour would be easier on the eye IMO.

Also, I'm not usually one for talking about seats, but compare the 450 first class seats from the render to those that have appeared. Those actually fitted to the unit look remarkably flat to my eye.

It's not really really wasted money and effort if it's being done anyway, all they've got to do is shift first class around and change the grabrails for some that are in the correct colour. I would certainly think that its preferable to have a mostly done SWR unit than something that is their predecessors livery. This way they effectively get another brand launch on a major TV show.

It’s not finished. Still more to be done to it. I was he booked driver who made a brief appearance on the show. They had covered the train in their own internal decorations by the time I had got there and with film crews and a brief rehearsal of my FIVE LINES I never got to have a proper look

I thought it wasn’t finished, since I did see a slight hint of red on the doors. But hopefully it’ll go to Eastleigh for attention soon.

Hopefully other operators will be selected too for this, not just SWR. London Bridge, Blackfriars and Charing Cross are not too far from the ITV Studios.

Not a fan of the new interior or exterior. I know it's not completely finished with the final colour for the grab handles still to come (maybe white will be good) but with the entire motif of the trains being this rather boring, uninspiring grey colour, I can't help thinking SWT were much better with their livery...

There’s a lot of red. And there was stickers inside saying WiFi isn’t available yet. Drivers seat hasn’t been done either but they’ve replaced the information inside the cab with SWR stickers. It’s probably near completion but as many people said the inside is rather grey and dull. The disco lights at the time made it look a lot better!!

I didn’t actually hear the exchange between you both. I actually thought it was unscripted and you just appeared. Can you confirm this service ran with a guard please? There’s some dribble on Facebook because RTT said it was booked DOO.

Was booked a guard throughout. the last bit is DOO to Wimbledon Park. You can see the guard in the video clip posted above as Scarlett puts the PA handset down

I've bumped into a few celebs, one or two on a train as well. They're often like that, moody and un-engaging, generally unlike their TV-facing personality.
I'm with you on the interior too, drab. It immediately reminded me of the Heathrow Connect 360s.
