Swanage Beer Gala

I have heard that the 11th May diesel/beer gala at swanage will have 3 visiting diesels , with a combined 44 cylinders.

Sounds good to me, 37324 'Clydebridge' was hellfire at the Beer Festival. It was interesting to see how quiet the stations were that day no doubt due to the attraction of Beer at Norden, it felt like i had a station to myself! Do you know what diesels they are?

73136+D1015 through to Swanage on the Thursday before the Beer Festival and by RAIL!! I beleive the 56 is coming by road... oh the indignity of it all

Have not got times for the 73 Western combo.

Wouldn't be surprised if it goes off to Swanage or somewhere with another slam door EMU... now, if only it had CDL for the Lymington...

I heard from Steve Clark (loco basher/guard) http://www.steve-clark.fotopic.net/ in the messroom that 5 or 6 diesels are coming down on the 8th of May for the Swanage Diesel Gala and 1 of them will be stopping off at the depot to pick up Gordon and take it down to Swanage.

With the confusion of whats going where for the swanage beer gala lets get this updated. Still as orginally planned D1015 and 56 098 are to visit, D1015 going down mainline with 73136 (times to be released).

Yet to be confirmed - 73136 should stay down at swange for the gala and will be joined by 73208 hauling 3417 'Gordon Petit'.

Hope this helps, as always the event is extremly pleasing and i highly recommend.

I was recently talking to Peter Taylor and was informed: "we will pickup 73208 and work to Old oak common,we are then hauling a 56 and a western down to swanage,should be a great weekend,and then return the lot back on the Monday".
