Of course, the thing about XC running to Newquay is that, if you live in Bugle, Luxulyan or Roche, then you can't get around on a Saturday. Surely they should be able to fit in a train to Newquay for XC each way? I know it's 'full to capacity' but wouldn't they be able to do a bit of re-jiggin?
Not sure what this means, could you clarify please?
Leaving aside the number of potential passengers, I don't think XC will stop at short platforms, and I doubt that GW would want to spare a 153 to run on the branch on summer Saturdays when they are reduced to using Night Riviera stock on the main line.
