The following buses all made appearances on Kendal Town services today. 20132, 33164, 33165, 33166, 34217, 47055, & 47057.
Did not see the 755 today.
16331, 18278, & 18279 on the X35's.
Does anybody know what has happen to 18280, which have not been seen for about 3-weeks.

unfortunately not. the route is still being covered by roofed buses, with an open top titan making an occasional appearance.
16329 is apparently waiting for seats, upstairs windows, and display. 16393 is in Carlisle for paint, needing seats and upstairs windows.
they were supposed to be entering service in 2010, but it could be earlier now. its one of those things that we'll just have to wait for lol.

47024 on Moorclose Circular 50.
47062 on Moorclose Circular 51, and it badly needs a good scrub down! seems to be everything we get from Preston needs scrubbed down! its like they don't clean their buses!
20753, 33167, 33168 and 47059 all had a go on Harrington & Seaton lol. 20753 went on for the seaton side for a bit while 33167 sat on annexe.
20752 on 31 with a dead bright tech...again. it was working at end of last week after being dead for weeks haha.
25225 also on 31.
16447, 16651, 16652 and 16734 on 300.
freshly painted 42566 was on annexe, and i couldnt see a display lol. it was just black, couldn't see the edges of the flip dots or anything lol.

22253 Glenrothes to Preston

This was at the depot in Chorley the other day, all stickered up for Preston Citi, apparently here as part of a 'batch' and that particular one at Chorley to be 'fixed'.. a colleague in engineering was less than impressed by it and is glad its not a Chorley bus... Its currently in situ at Cowling

there will be 6 of them in total, to run Preston Citi 3 apparently.
the other 4 to come are still at Glenrothes. not sure what the hold up is, they were due in Preston a few weeks ago!

They were at Cowdenbeath, but have moved to Glenrothes for stripping of fleetnames and other fife stuff.

I thought the Fife MANs were coming down to work the 16 or are they going into the 'pool' of Citi buses for use on any route?

noted this afternoon a few Preston Bus liveried buses on various Ribble routes around Blackpool

i was told they're going in the general pool of Citi buses, but would mostly be on Preston Citi 3 due to the slightly larger capacity.

I think part of the delay with the MANs is the fact that Kendal simply cannot free 34217 to swap with them...almost every day it's out in service.

As i have said in a previous posting 34217 is the most reliable bus at Kendal, being out all day, every day on Town services !
Also with the H-reg'd Olympians receiving repaints, they will not be going anywhere fast.
20661 was running around early in service, with some rear pannels painted only in undercoat.

Slightly out of our area today I noted that Stagecoach Merseyside legal lettering carries both Stagecoach and Glenvale names

10728 on Seatoller 78, and it was pouring down! SC don't seem to understand that in good weather you use open top, and in bad weather use closed top, and not the other way around!!!!!!!!

14232 on 554.

20759, 20765, 52627, 52628 and 52629 all been on X services.
47060 on 51.

i was only passenger on upper deck haha. i was soaked. it wasnt too bad when we were moving, but we were running ahead of timetable a little, so had to sit at the stops and wait, which is where i got soaked. took me a few hours to get dried off, then i went back to seatoller on 10728 while weather was nice, and it started to rain again haha.

its pretty annoying though for people who use the service.
i was stupid enough to not check the weather, so was walking around in knee length shorts and a t-shirt, but rain was forecast.
whenever its forecast a really warm day, its usually closed top, and it has been a lot in the past few weeks. then suddenly, 10728 appears on it lol.
it won't be too bad when these volvo oly's are on it, cos they're only part open. much better for Cumbrian weather!

something i forgot to mention earlier.
was a shock to me earlier to see a driver on a KL trident walk up and down the bus, picking up all the litter and stuff.
why is it a shock to me? well, this morning, i travelled to Keswick on 52628, and when i was coming home, it was 52628, and there was still litter lying around that was there in the morning! i've experienced this on both LL and CE vehicles.

33164, 47055, 47056, & 47057 on Town services, with 20711 doing a couple of trips before doing afternoon D3. One of the Solos ended-up on 17.35 567 Kirkby Lonsdale, its place on Town service being taken by 20776.
34217 noted displaying "School Service" this afternoon.

16663 on the 5 around the same time as well as 20131.

17021 on the 2a as mentioned above.

Haven't seen anything else really apart from 20776 on the 552 this afternoon.

20769,20770 & 20771 have left Lillyhall on temporary loan to South Wales to cover for vehicles that have been vandalised overnight.

Wow that's a long way to go isn't it lol how bad was the damage to the vehicles in Wales?

Also 16666 has had a full repaint and refurb but no LED and all it displays (side and rear) are still there. Now either they have no intention of paneling over them of tyhey will do it and repaint the new panels. Either way its stupid!

Thats shocking! hope they get the clowns responsible for that! Were there no spare buses nearer, but I suppose they will be glad of anything to keep them going in the meantime.
