Yes indeed we shall see you have to try and have a ride see how it runs lol.

Was thinking before that after the Volvo Olys in Lancaster are done and they finish the Trident 2's off they may start on the B10's.

i think the 04 reg dart will be one i'll be avoiding really. nearly everything we've got from down that end has been pretty bad condition inside for its age. 04 reg solo's aren't clean on walls and stuff. 51 reg's had their floors caked in muck, so had to have new flooring put in. the Marshall bodied darts are pretty bad inside. 34079 isnt too bad, but its still not great lol.

17021/22 on the 2a this morning. Haven't seen anything else yet.

I haven't seen a Leyland in service for ages! Not even the other day when Ripley services started in the afternoon a majority of the buses were Volvo Olys. You see 14208 on the 42 now and then but other then that...

Noted that several former Preston Bus vehicles - mainly Solos are still fitted with fare vaults and notices stating that 'change is not given on this bus at present' and a Scania saloon is carrying an 'on hire to Ribble motor services' sticker working a 3

All the operational PB buses should have the stickers in them as the pointless investigation is still going on!!!

Most of the former PB buses have had the vaults removed and the space plated over, Id not noticed that some still had them fitted and working

No I thought they had been removed but maybe they had to stop replacing them when the investigation started as they had to stop everything else such as repaints.

When told to 'stop everything' whilst the investigation took place, that meant everything, even now there are a couple of Stagecoach liveried Preston Buses which have the vaults and need notices saying Sorry! we cannot give change.. Although this hasnt stopped Stagecoach modifying everything, i noticed a couple of J-Reg Oly's with Orange LED's fitted

Partially correct but the main Reason SC Manchester gets all the new buses was because its Stagecoach Biggest and Most profitable network now the London ops are owned by Macquarie Bank. Previously Buses where transferred out of London at Mid age point now they will come from Manchester Oxford or even maybe Newcastle.

Interestingly Stagecoach Stockport have lost quite a few tenders to companies like Bakerbus and JPT.

London cast offs were always guaranteed due LT/TfL requirements that buses were to be less than 5yrs old in many cases, although this has now been relaxed in the last couple of years.

Dave - yes they were Stagecoach liveried buses that I had seen which is partly what made me notice the vaults! Ive not seen an ECW body Olympian with a LED screen though, I'll be keeping my eyes out for those!!

30281 is currently on the 49/10 circuit.

Ever so slightly off topic, but does anyone know which route Arriva work into Chorley?

In group news, Brian Souter has donated his £1.6m bonus built up over 3 years to the companies pensioners and his charity. The groups pensioners all received £100 around christmas time, Brian Souter and the rest of the board have had their pay frozen and no bonuses will be paid out this year.

one of Lillyhall's Solo's was involved in an accident earlier today, whilst running route 1. 40013 was sent out to cover for it.

47023 on 50.
47616 on 51.
16447, 20765 and 20779 all been on 300.
20757 and 20761 went on for evening runs.
47060 is on Workington Town Evening Services tonight.
40028 was on 58.
few problems on X services. 52626 went on X4 to cover 52628. 52628 was later used to cover 52627 which was running over 30 mins late. 52627 then sat on annexe.
20757 had been out on X services, as well as all 4 Jonckheeres.

Ever so slightly off topic, but does anyone know which route Arriva work into Chorley?

If i remember correctly, its what was the 125 section of route between Chorley and Wigan. Before the 125 was diverted to Bolton. Dave the Bus should know more.:|

Reported else where on the net, 34212, 34213, 34216, & 34217 arrived with East Scotland on 21 June. Is that why 34217 was on the 552 Kendal - Arnside service today!!!!

16331, 16339, 18278, & 18279 on X35's (still no signs of 18280)
16661 on the 755 this morning.
47058 arrived in Kendal Bus Stn abt 15.45 displaying "Private Charter"
20735, 20750, 33164, 33165, 47055, 47056, 47057 all made apperances on Town Services.
UID B10M on 2020 555 Lancaster - Kendal, normally a Trident.

Wrong the 125/6 are operated by Stagecoach Chorley depot Preston-Bolton using ALX400's and soon to be replaced by Scania E400's or Man E400's

Arriva work the 362 Wigan-Chorley/Standish HS Which is presently operated by Bolton depot Using Commanders and Pulsar 1's Unfortunately it is only operating every 20 minutes atm do to major roadworks in the Standish area. it has previously been Operated by Haydock depot now closed and Skelmersdale depot.

I think that you will find that in the 1980's, when Ribble operated the 125 that it operated between Preston - Chorley - Wigan, and the 126 between Preston - Chorley - Bolton, being operated their then three depots at Preston, Chorley, & Wigan. Using Leyland Nationals.

I assume that when Chorley get new E400's they will retain around 9/12 of their Tridents to displace their Volvo Oly's which in theory could go to SC in Preston providing the investigation ends in SC's favor.

Solo broke down in Halton this morning apparently it kept cutting out so a fitter had to bring another one out.

Well Not anymore the only arriva buses that serve Chorley should be 3361/3/4 of Skelmersdale depot on Chorley School Contracts (But currently on loan to Wales for Wakestock Festival) and the 2621-23 2625-2628 batch of Commanders and 2676-2688 Batch of Pulsar 1's from Bolton Depot.

Only two Stagecoach Routes serve Wigan at the moment the Sunday Evening Only 612 Wigan-Wrightington Operated by Network Chorley Solo's and the 113 Preston-Wigan Operated by Preston Depot and Chorley Depot. plus a few Schools Routes including the 656 and various other routes all which are operated by Chorley Depot.

I've heard from a reliable source only 4 Tridents will stay at Chorley and they will be the Tacho fitted ones and its rumoured one will be gaining Ribble Livery if the Oly doesnt Return from Preston repaired.

Oh so it could be that the rest of the Tridents will go to Ex PB or even LL to work the 300 as discussed previously.

Had the E400 order been confirmed?
