Another bit of history, The F reg batch of Olympians at Barrow were the first full size buses delivered in Stagecoach stripes and were delivered for Carlisle city services, have also seen service at Preston , Lillyhall (briefly) and then Barrow

Cant see Stagecoach scrapping the E reg Olympians, they will have some worth on the open market and coming from Lothian they will have been looked after well for most of their lives, I remember them in Edinburgh and they were always in good nick.

lillyhall's Leyland Oly's are pretty bad, but as you said, they're only used for schools and BNG really, unless desperate. i've seen them used on Tesco Free Bus too a few times.
i noticed the display has finally been sorted out on 14257! well, last time i seen it, it was totally blank, but it had previously been a mixture of about 3 different things lol.

on the topic of 300 being half hourly, these days it wouldnt work, as train is cheaper, so people often use that rather than bus. although, there is the new saturday only family ticket on 300 (2 adults and 3 kids or 1 adult and 4 kids for £12! the standard adult return from Workington to Carlisle being £8.55!)

Spotted at the back of Carlisle depot today was Dart 32923 N656CHF is a nice new shiny coat of paint. 20784 well and truly stripped of parts and a Volvo B10 Jonkchere (couldnt ID) in Rapsons livery.

Also noted on site were Titans 10179 & 10728, 14853 (ex Bullocks) is inside the main garage too...

has the open top conversion started on 14853 yet?
i've just been told that 10179 and 10728 are being hung onto until 14853 and 16393 are converted to open top to run service 78 (previously 79, which both 10179 and 10728 ran in the past).

No work been done on it yet, back of the roof has a bit of damage so I guess thats why its being done

That sounds like the logical thing to do, as 16393 has only just been started and will probably take a while. Does anyone know what stages all the Tridents are at? im sure there is at least one complete in storage at Kendal depot.

AFAIK, 3 are done or almost done. conversion on 17014 only started around 2 week ago or something, which is why 11100 is still at Lillyhall apparently, just incase conversion isnt finished in time.
i've been told the finished / almost finished ones are 17012, 17013 and 17016. 17015 isnt far behind i've been told, but i'm sure someone else on here will be able to give more accurate information on it :-P

25225 on 30 today, shoving 20752 onto 31 with Andrew driving and he waved at me and my mate haha.
both 51 reg solo's on Moorclose Circular 50 & 51.
20763 on Seaton 47 this morning (display was totally blank, couldnt tell if it was non-operational bright tech or newly fitted LED).
20764 on schools along with both K reg Leyland Oly's.
40028 went into Parton off the A595 near Rosehill Junction, which i have never seen happen before lol. i didnt see its new LED display just ar*e end
35247 was on 31's.
35248 and 35249 on 31A.
guessing 35246 was on 2.

oh, another thing i noticed today, one of Vario's was on Workington Bus Station annexe, and on the front, it had "0 814" but all fleet lists show them as "0 810". it was 42534 on the annexe :-P

14853 will be getting a repaint...no point fixing damage to bits of the roof that will come off!

I bet when 14853 is delivered to LL, one of the Tridents will head to Carlisle for a repaint into green swoops, AFAIK 17016 is still in normal livery.

Bit odd that 32923 has been given a new coat of paint, unless this is off to Preston to replace the Lynxs?

20547 heading for Heysham Towers on the 2 in Torrisholme this afternoon.
UID LoLiner sat just off the Shrimp in Torrisholme with the driver waiting patiently to swap buses - this is a popular location to swap buses over as its close to the garage. I think it was taking the place of a 18xxx Trident on the 2A which was collecting passengers at the Shrimp bus stop (Im only guessing here).

Odd site at Sellafield main gate this morning was one of the Jonks as well as RBZ and VRR and the normal selection of B10s Olys and the Varios on the Park n Ride

Sounds good if it means bye bye to more Mercs. suprised about the Oly when 16393 is being done up, Rotten chassis maybe as alot of other areas are having alot of repairs to theirs.

16393 is supposed to be getting done, but priority at minute is tridents i've been told, again, don't know how accurate that is.
i've also been told that the 2 titans with bright techs (10179 and 10728 i think) will see service at start of open top season on the 78 (will be ran by 16393 and 14853 once converted).

its nice to hear (well read :-P) that 2 solo's will be coming! get the last 709d's off commercial service!

i'd like that as well!!! some people find it unbelievable how annoyed i get when for exampe a mirehouse solo goes on moorclose, or a marshall (harrington / seaton routes) goes onto mirehouse.
recently, the mirehouse ones have stuck to mirehouse, but workington's 51 reg solo's and the marshalls keep getting swapped aroung which annoys me a lot! solo's were transferred for moorclose, marshalls transferred for harrington and seaton, so that is how it should be haha.
