I followed that old L reg Dart the other day from Sellafield, how can that bus be safe as it bounces and swerves all over the road??? There must be something better in reserve!!!

the planned transfer to Carlisle was pointless! there isnt anything for it to do up there (all their single decks in service are newer, and they have no extra services that require it).
i'd guess 32917 will probably stick around until X5 sorted out with new vehicles, then b10m's will be available to run BNG as they wont be needed to cover jonckheeres.
hopefully a 3rd dart will come, then Workington's "full time" town services will be fully low floor, and should hopefully see some 709d's disappear (hopefully 40001, 40006 and 40025).

I'm doubtful that many ex-PB vehicles will make it to Lillyhall - Morecambe has no "scrappers corner" at the moment [except for 20775 that they are still robbing] and they are storing all of Preston's Scanias (bar 2, the rest are being collected tomorrow according to Gez) so I reckon the PB vehicles will end up in Morecambe. Lillyhall hasn't really had any vehicles from Preston unless they are being stored for future use or are being repaired.

Has work started on N393LPN at Lillyhall into open top (not that there was much left of the roof) Looking forward to seeing the new livery on the Tridents in the lakes

No idea. I don't think the Tridents are totally finished yet, so maybe the fitters are concentrating on them?
I wouldn't imagine PB vehicles will be going for storage. I mean, who's going to want an E reg decker or Metrorider? Stagecoach have plenty of new vehicles in store as it is.

Theres also going to be some redundant F reg Olympians from Barrow to take into consideration. Im sure these will end up at Lillyhall before Ensign or even Carlton

Ex Kendal Olys at Preston (x2 branded) are 16331/2/4/5/9 plus 16447 is on the X2 also. So there are six that may go to Barrow once debranded (16335 is still in Liverpool wrap)
Ive seen 16329 at Lillyhall and would be amazed if that gets fixed (closed top), Pleased I wasnt driving or riding on it at the time

Yeah I tend to agree about the 6/6A. Saying that I was down in Barrow last weekend, the B10s branded for the 6/6A do look quite tidy but would benefit from LEDs as the displays were crap. Only thing in Barrow with LEDs are the Solos (54 Reg) The deckers lined up at the front of the depot are propper rough apart from 14267 which is still in Barrow Corporation livery. The three Lolynes still have roller blind displays which I find odd.
The reason the Loynes have roller blinds is because that's what CCC, who funded them, specified.
The reason I think Barrows F regs will replace ex-PB Olys is because the PB examples are ONCL10/2RZ which is non-standard to the NW. By comparison, Barrows are ONLXB/2RZ

from what i understand, 6 N reg Alexander bodied oly's and the N reg NC bodied oly will be going to Barrow to replace the F reg oly's, which will then replace the E reg oly's at Deepdale (E reg's are only Alexander RH bodied oly's in stagecoach i think, all other Alexander bodied ones are Alexander RL). other oly's over time will replace the G reg ones at Deepdale (all Leyland) and the 8 J reg all Leyland oly's.
with the Lolynes, it will be upto the council when the roller blinds are replaced, as they're council owned buses apparently, they're just operated by Stagecoach. the N reg's going to Barrow are all supposed to have LED's fitted (i think most of them have them now).

Theres no way that Preston will take 21 year old buses, especially ones as knackered as Barrows. If there is truth in the story that Chorleys Tridents are being replaced by new Enviros, then the 22 Tridents will probably go there and there will be a surplus of N,P&R regs at preston to go to Deepdale..
When the 04 Tridents came to Chorley they replaced the R***NBV batch of Olys which were 6 years old at the time. The Tridents are 5 years old in March, so could be plausable

Yeah youre probably right. The five R regs on the 300 now were At Chorley when new, then displaced to Preston when the Tridents came. They came to Lillyhall to replace some Northern Counties bodied Olys P224/5/6/7VCK, which left to go to Stagecoach South I think. P227VCK was the one painted in a special livery for the Jubilee year.

Only four came to start with R252/3/4/5. A little later R249/50/1 also came, cant remember but Im sure they trialed an increased frequency on the 300, but it was short lived and resulted in 249/50 and N343MPN going back to Preston and 20733/4/8 heading back up here.
