GRIMSBY/ CLEETHORPES Armed Forces Service information
Due to armed forces this weekend down Cleethorpes Pier / Pier gardens all Cleethorpes Bound services and their return leg will end / Start at Memorial Hall and be diverting down St Peter’s Avenue. In typical Stagecoach fashion they’ve not put anything on X, also newly painted 10908 | WGY Poppy is out on service 8/6’s so keep an eye out for it!

Is there any reason why Stagecoach in Mansfield have been posting very little information about bus service disruptions on ‘X’ these last few weeks?
Most other Stagecoach East Midlands areas have continued with regular and quite comprehensive updates, but except for a post about a few cancellations this weekend there has been almost nothing throughout June.
There has been a big diversion in the Hucknall area for the last 4 weeks on the 141 route due to works by Severn Trent Water on Papplewick Lane, but no updates from Stagecoach Mansfield. The work has overrun by over a week now and it can’t be helped that the Papplewick Lane area of Hucknall has no buses to Nottingham but there‘s no information from Stagecoach.
Most other Stagecoach East Midlands areas have continued with regular and quite comprehensive updates, but except for a post about a few cancellations this weekend there has been almost nothing throughout June.

I wonder if Stagecoach are giving up on X? Over in Yorkshire, they've not posted since March, and Chesterfield gave up posting well over a year back. Similar things, significant disruption wasn't mentioned at all.
Looking at the latest traffic and travel update published by Hull City Council. It looks like the chargers at Hull depot might be getting connected to the grid from the 13-15 July. But I think this must have been pushed back from the original date as looking at the update from the week before (26th June) it was listed as taking place between 29th June - 1st July.

Rolling out across Hull buses atm is a return of the "via" things on dest boards.
Example
Hull Interchange 5
via The Avenues
Previously the dest boards (located on the front and back of the bus) said like
The Avenues >
Hull Interchange 5
And the top bit would slideshow
Ironically this isn't really new, this is just a return of the old style.
As its in rollout, only select buses have rolled this back out, some still retain the [Dest 1] > style.
No idea if this is also the case at other depots.

They’ve been back and forth with this style of display across the East Midlands for a while - Lincoln had the via points listed on the top line with the arrows for a few months before they reverted back to ‘via …’ on the bottom line.

Grimsby destination screens seem to change style as often as the winds! For a while they were in a similar style to your first picture, with many "via points" slideshow style on the top line. Then for a while they had no via points whatsoever. Now most routes have just one via point, or two of they're short names, shown on the bottom line, but quite a number of routes show no via points at all.
It would be good to know where to go for that kind of disruption information if they're moving away from X as I always check before I travel, usually #Gainsborough or #Worksop. I can't see anywhere on the app that this might be published.

Just wondering if anyone knows about what's happening with Stagecoach and preparing the buses for the extreme heat every year. I understand they are trying to replace the buses as soon as possible with EV buses that can handle heat, but I'm talking about older buses such as the Enviro 400, MANs, and Enviro 200, which won't be replaced for years. The inside of the buses is unbearable for a large number of people, and they are becoming unsafe for anyone to ride on them. Taking an example from this morning, where in Mansfield it reached 32°C and easily 40°C inside the bus, a woman had to be removed by one emergency advanced paramedic and two regular paramedics . This was said by a random person at the bus station, so please take this with a pinch of salt. (Gemini was used to only blur the face)

Told on Blink today by 2 directors of East Midlands that we will receive Ticketr machines hopefully by November
Is this for all towns/cities or just certain ones?
Whole company from what I can gather I know some parts such as Manchester and soon Merseyisde have them/will have them

A company as rich as Stagecoach should provide air conditioning on every bus, it's not on that people's lives are being put at risk just to save a few quid for shareholders. Believe you and me, I've tried to badger local councillors and even the useless Leeds MP Mr Benn into bringing in a local rule or law for compulsory air conditioning to all public service vehicles, similar to what they've done with clean air zones, litter etc, but have got nowhere. Local authorities and the government are great when it comes to passing laws on emisions etc, but when it comes to passing a law making air conditioning compulsory, suddenly they all dissappear! Stagecoach should me made to cough up if they're keeping old stock because the weather is only going to go one way going forward, and that's not down!

1. Buses have a life of 15-20 years
2. Even with modern (diesel) buses air conditioning is a real challenge. On double deckers it’s virtually impossible. Hence it’s not just those evil private companies that don’t specify aircon. Bee Network? Nope. TfL? Nope (air chill upstairs on DD only). That’s notwithstanding the extra capital and running costs.
3. Electric buses -much easier - and therefore more common.
4. Retrofit is pretty much impossible.
so back to my question - do you want services withdrawn if the buses have no aircon? Ditto trains?
Maybe more common sense. They often send single-decker buses to school routes when school is out, which leads to the bus being super jammed, making it an oven, and also maybe not covering air vents with metal sheets.

Unsure what’s happening in Grimsby & Cleethorpes but majority of services that go via Grimsby Hospital are running 10+ mins late
Would assume usual rush hour Scartho Road traffic build up, road is very poor during peak times
